Make a suggestion to Science?

We already know the science behind controlling machinery with one's neural impulses, and... well, making things stick to other things. The ball is now firmly in the engineers' court, and believe me, they are working on it. If you asked a scientist for a spiderman suit, they'd show you the completed research and tell you to go away.

In fact, half of these seem to be engineering suggestions.

My suggestion to science would be to tell the military to [expletive] off and find some other way to fund itself, because research is basically just being skewed to provide better ways of killing people, rather than actually learning about the universe. Hell, I'm surprised CERN hasn't already been converted into a bullet-shaped, targetable particle accelerator.

Conclusively prove/disprove a higher power already I'm sick of the arguments.

Or, failing that have fundamentalism (All fundamentalism) declared an infectious disease so we can quarantine the bastards for the good of the public's mental health,
Actually make that all cases of blatant persistent stupidity.

Though I could do with a Lightsaber

Dear Science,

Please devote all nanotechnology breakthroughs to the development of the self-producing and regenerative "Metacell". Once created, metacells will overshadow many of the world's technologies and solve many of Earth's problems...such as construction, repair, energy, protection, and even space exploration. The entire world will surpass the technological development of all of Star Trek, so try to keep up with it.

Yours Sincerely,
Trent Massarino - MassaCorp Industries

I am thinking more along the lines of doing away with ignorance and stupidity. When every male is born, instead of circumcision (which is a brutal, archaic process) how about we install a valve in the seminal tubes. It would shut off the flow of semen needed for reproduction. When you want to have kids, you have to appeal to a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and various other doctors to determine that you will raise a healthy, intelligent, open minded, logical, critical thinking individual. Then, they simply go in and open the valve. If you fail the tests, no kids for you. It would also reduce the overcrowding of the planet. Or, make a pill that makes seminal fluid taste like chocolate. Birth control solved.

Stop wasting time trying to find out if homosexuals are that way by choice, and get back to curing diseases. IT DOESN'T MATTER!

(Honestly, it's like we're trying to figure out if preference to Coke versus Pepsi is a choice...)

complete mastery and manipulation of the biological realm of science (meaning everything it encompasses and it's branches)

that could lead to some complications in the wrong hands though... but dammit it's necessary

Science needs to prove (or if anything disprove) Heim theory [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heim_Theory], because despite being around for 43 years they haven't been able to disprove it. And it allows for friggin hyperdrives.

Seriously people, I want we need FTL.

science needs to invent more efficient faster charge/discharge batteries for vehicles....

seriously the only thing holding back electric vehicles right now is range and charge times..

think how amazing it would be to be able to drive your car all day for hundreds or potentially thousands of miles at a time then just plug it in and be able to do the same thing again in an hour

reducing public demand of gasoline would allow more efficient direction of natural resources towards much more efficient sources of energy production (meaning power plants consume fuel and produce power MUCH MUCH more efficiently than vehicles and as such the cost of producing this power would theoretically decrease, as reduction in demand would reduce fuel costs despite the fact that electricity consumption would increase)

this is a big deal
