So I missed out on my 500th, my 1000th, and even my 1111th post (which was originally what this thread was supposed to be on).

Anyway. My point is: A lot of people make wishes at 11:11 every day. Or you make wishes on stars, or eyelashes, or pie pieces.

So, Escapists, what do you wish for? And have you ever had a wish be granted?

I made a wish while I was at work one day that the boss would make the day after a 9 hour shift worthwhile. That evening, he calls and talks to my supervisor, and she comes to me with a big grin. "What do you want for dinner? Greg's paying, and we're ordering Chinese." Wish totally granted.

For a whole day, I pulled up to red lights, clapped my hands together, and the lights turned green. This happened no less than 12 times with a 100% success rate.

Grats on your attempt to make a special thread from a number...

I simply wish to find 'true love' some day. So corny, but so true.

I used to wish.

Its like how i used to get my hopes up for something. Its not worth it in the end, you just leave your self more venerable to get hit.

That's not corny, that's sweet. And were I a fairy godmother, I'd grant that wish to every Escapist who makes it.

Oh if only. Life would be much easier with a free wish.

I want people to understand gamer =/= person who plays games. That or Firefly, Buffy, Angel and Dollhouse to all be uncanceled.
Dollhouse, Angel and Buffy all had proper endings, so restarting them now would be like flogging a dead horse no matter how much we wish it otherwise.

Firefly on the other hand... Now there is something I would like to see come back.

As for the other comment, a gamer is a person who plays games, but a person who plays games is not a necessarily a gamer. Just like an Al-Quaida member is a muslim, but a muslim is not necessarily a member of Al-Quaida. Sure, it's hard for the regular morons of society to understand. But that's life.

I'm not sure if I should congratulate you on this or wish for you that more people will comment on this thread.

OT: Sure, I wished tons of things when seeing a helicopter and mistaking it for a falling star(I was 8 >.>). Not that they came true or anything...
Seriously though; I always wished for a lesser stupid human race.

That maybe one day, all the rulers would agree with the statement: "Wow, we suck."

I never even heard of this before. Suffice to say, I don't wish.

I wish I could let it all go, and just slide down the slope of life without a care in the world.
