If you could make up a holiday, what would it be?

I would declare Free day on the 2nd Monday in May. School and work are out, and people get a certain amount of free stuff from stores they visit. Then, we go home and chill.

I would make August the 13th International dress like a ninja-chef with a crab on it's shoulder day.

That way I could at least have one day of the year where I don't feel out of place.

My friends and I have done 'smash day' for the last 12 years. We go dumpster diving for large pieces of junk. Thrift stores for the cheapest things that NO ONE would buy (like an elmo doll with no eyes and exposed wires) and then cheap generic soda.

We enter a field and take turns using bats, sledgehammers, and golf clubs. Wearing goggles of course. This started when we were sixteen as a celebration of the end of the school year but has stayed long after all but the most scholarly have finished college.

and yes we do clean up afterward.

OT: I'd have to say, I'd create World Pony Day. WPD would then be the day celebrating Ponies of all kinds and worshipping the Pony God.
