I'd sharpen the edges of my shovel, but we've got guns in the house so I probably wouldn't be using it.

I love all this "I would rig up my chainsaw/deoderant/cat to my weedkiller/car/airrifle/supersoaker/chair" stuff.

If you tried that, I think you'd be a casualty before the Z's even got to your house.

(Living in the UK so getting hold of a Firearm is not very viable, that in mind...) There's a garden center about a mile away from my house that I used to work at and spent every day checking out the different implements just incase of Z-Day.

Weapon of choice: Circular edged, wooden garden hoe (Looks a bit like this "[]---)" but with a more circular curve). Reasons include the hoe was quite strong, yet lightweight; was somewhere near 1.5-2m in length (can't remember exactly) which is about as close as I want to get to a Zombie in close combat; was circular bladed rather than square ([]---])or v-shaped ([]--->) which means less chance of getting stuck inside zombie; and requires no fuel to sustain and can be edged to a much sharper curve. Also, if you get good with this weapon (swinging it around and slicing through with it), very easy to replace; I could have picked up about 10 from the garden store, and variations of this garden hoe would require little retraining to become effective with and could be found in almost every shed in the UK.

Otherwise, if petrol and electricity aren't a problem, the garden center had stupid amounts of hedge trimmers, easily modifiable petrol lawn mowers etc. Plus lots of solar panels which, if used together, could produce enough power for essentials if you had some electrical engineering knowledge.

And naturally the standard wood axes, crowbars (surprisingly heavy btw), hell we sold huge blocks of wood for cutting which, with the amount of saws available, could be sharpened into spikes to make a stronghold that looked akin to a hedgehog (would be interesting to watch Zombies impale themselves on); or could be cut down smaller to make one-shot spears.

Yeah, the job was boring, so I mentally turned that place into the realistically best thing a Brit could find to help when Z-Day comes.

ive already made my zombie apocalypse weapon =]
an avarage potato gun, but instead of potatoes, i made a baffle to cause compression, and you put glass, nails, sharp stuff inside. weve tried it several times and it shoots out in a very wide range. and we have enough power tools and such in my garage where im not really worried

An aluminum baseball bat, two and a half feet long, completely wrapped in black duct tape, named Helen. I actually owned this, but it was too short for me, so I gave it to a friend for exactly this reason. He mounted it under his car dash. It's awesome.

The only problem with this weapon is it sounds like a nail bomb, great for wide spread of pain, capable of making many casualties especially due to random stuff inside to cause complications like internal bleeding and gangrene and stuff.
But you can't cause a zombie pain so unless this weapon has the power to take the head off or destroy the brain (or at least quickly start removing limbs) then it is about as effective tear gas.

At home: machete, hatchet, hammer, maple walking staff (you laugh, but this thing could split a skull at 5 feet), gun cabinet containing a shotgun and 2 scoped .22 rifles. A short walk to a workshop with all the crowbars, axes, sledgehammers, chainsaws, and miscellaneous tools I could ever want.

Dorm: piece of broom handle, toilet tank cover, small knives, deodorant, lighter, neighbor's guitar, not much else.

I'd simply grab my Dad's hatchet out of the shed. A little sharpening and that baby will take off Zombie heads/limbs nice and clean.

I'll tie a zombie to a rope and then i'll use my zombie-flail to single-handedly defeat the zombie apocalypse.

is it just me,or would someone in a Knight-likecostume with a sword of somekind be just about invincible for the zombies? some light-metal armor+a sword/claymore/axe = no bites+still being able to move pretty freely and fast+kicking ass and chopping heads. I believe this is the equation to survive the Zombie Apocalypse.

Simply put:

Napalm = Styrofoam + Gasoline

Nerf Darts = Styrofoam

I own the nerf vulcan and a modified tub/ aircompressor that can accuarately shoot a nerf dart over a kilometer in range.

Also there would be no shortage of ammunition.

I would also have to cover the darts in barbacue sauce so that the zombies I shoot smell delicious, causing the other zombies to try to eat the flaming zombie, also becoming napalm'd

I thought this through WAY TOO much...But I got paid to do it so :D

miniature chainsaw attached to a super soaker filled with lighter fluid and oil to make a flamethrower with a chainsaw attached.

suck it lancer.
Short range, ammmo inneficient.

Super soaker flamethrowers most often melt after a few seconds of use, and when that happens the only things that happen are it stops shooting or, just as likely, blows up or sets the tank on fire...

Either way you're better off with a bigger chainsaw...Maybe stick it to the end of a piece of study rope and use it like a nunchuck? :D
