I would suggest avoiding anything with lyrics and make sure whatever you pick has a good and consistent rhythm.
I don't know about that.

RHCP has some of the most rhythmic songs I've ever heard.

I know what you mean about matching rhythms. Occasionally I've just thrown on a random playlist. Shit got a bit strange when Big Ten came on.

Damn you, stepdub!

I always have music playing in one form or another in the background here. So like, the last time my man and I were havin' the sexy time I think it was some 80's mix on Pandora. It's hard to not burst out laughing when something like "the heat is on" starts playing. Doesn't ruin the mood though, rather, makes it fun.

A few times. I guess it makes it somewhat more emotional. Depends on what you're listening to, mind you. If it's Leonard Cohen, you will give her 137% more orgasms.
"And from your lips she drew a hallelujah..."

Oh Lawd.

OT: I can't imagine having sex to lyrical music. That would be pretty dang awkward.

My neighbours do it.

Because when they are very noisily having sex I'll put on some piano concertos to avoid hearing them.

I should have used this tactic when I was having sex with my first girlfriend. It would have been 137% more orgasms that she would have had with me in the room.

OT: I lost my virginity while music played, but it was (no joke) "I honestly Love You", she chose it, not me. As for me, I love me some E.L.O., but I don't think any of their songs were really sexy songs. Well, maybe the disco ones, maybe[/b]. I did rock hard with her to a slow ELO number, so it can be done, just not as well.

And I haven't really had a second chance otherwise.

Oh yeah, or Nick Cave in one of his brooding dark romantica songs.

Good stuff, good stuff.

Okay, more seriously though, I tend to not actually pay attention to the music in the act. Got better stuff to focus on and all.

Yes. I've had sex with Electric Six songs on repeat. Can't get more love song that that.
Don't think she approved of my singing along though.

Since the previous posted completely ninjaed my song I'll go with another gem.
Somehow I think that one would only work with certain people.
also seconding no MJ

Try Tenacious D sometime and see what reaction you get.

"I'm going to ball you... DISCREEEETLYYYYY!"

(Un)fortunately they tend to fight more these days than have sex.
I probably should put on music to drown out that as well, but sometimes...

Well, when the husband is yelling at his wife for letting some secret he told her confidentially slip and then proceeds to yell the details of this 'secret', you just have to pretend you're not home...

I find chloroform works with out without music playing, but does make roofies work faster.....come on, at least I am man enough to admit it! :p I'm still a virgin but I turn off music before I masturbate.

I've never had it set up to do at my place but a few times when I've been at a lady's place they have turned on music. I've noticed it lowers the inhibitions as far as being vocal since there is already sound taking place as opposed to moaning loudly in a quiet room.
Wait is that a requirement in sex?

Well I recall on reddit someone saying how he conditioned his girlfriend.
So whenever things got hot and heavy he would always put on the red hot chilli peppers. Then after a few months of this his girlfriends brain sub-conciously associated RHCP with her being extremely horny.

So whenever he wanted to get "it" on, he'd put on RHCP and his girlfriend would start getting really horny.
