Sorry if this is a stupid thread, and it's easy to find else where, but I've looked all over t'internet, and didn't find a single thing to help me and my tiny brain capacity.

So anyway.
Can anyone give me a simple explanation on how to create a Minecraft server using an already created world on Survival, or is that not possible?
On Windows 7, if that helps.

I'm sorry to say, but I don't believe it is possible. I tried googling it but was unable to find anything.

o_O look at the post below mine...it seems I didn't do enough research as I thought I did.

That is fully possible!

First of, download the server file. Then start it, and then you will see that it will create many files, including a "world" folder. If the server console starts succesfully, delete the "world" folder, , and close the server console for now.

Then make sure that you can see hidden folders. (If you don't know how, google it)

Press start, then click on your username, go on :
"AppData"
"Roaming"
".minecraft"
"saves"

and in the "saves" folder, you will see some folders named "World 1", "World 3", etc. These are your survival single player maps. Choose the map you want to use in your server, and copy it.

Then paste it to the location where the old "world" folder which you deleted, and rename the folder you just copied to "world"

Then it should just be to start the server as normal, and it will host your survial singleplayer world!

Have fun!

No it's possible, actually really easy.

The guy above me already explained how though, so I'm not going to go into that.
