"Well, right then." I say, throwing a few more hundreds on top of the few on the counter. "Make it so."

The shop-keep takes the stack in his hand, checking the weight of it, and lets sparks fly from his fingers. The hundred dollar notes burn away, relinquishing the fragmented souls of Ms. Melba and Sir Monash in a billow of gray and green smoke. The shop-keep gathers the smoke in separate jars, and seals them beneath his desk.

"Right then. There you are."

The shop-keep hands you a contract.

"Wait, you actually read that?"

"Alright then. As soon as this shutdown ends, we'll have these processed and licensed in your name."

"Couple years since the place closed down. Someone's gotta run the stores with the boss man out of town."

"A few Daleks. A few Daemons. Trolls. Rakes. UNSC. Imperials. Army Rangers. Few ponies even, don't ask me where they came from."

"Huh, you know it's wierd that we never see any of those here, though then again I guess it could have something to do with the company I keep." I say with a shrug.

[HEADING=2][color=autumn orange]ONE HOLIDAY SEASON IN THE FUTURE...[/color][/HEADING]

Code:
Frail gusts of wind rake autumn leaves across the concrete pavement. The derelict Mall still stands on its crumbling foundation, its shattered glass windows reflecting the light of a world once filled with the spring of hope, now only marked by the fall of innocence.

An unexpected, uninvited guest arrived.
