Wonder how much ammunition this is going to give the anti-euthanasia crowd wonderful ¬_¬
None?
I like "none."

Seriously, there is no way they can twist this to their benefit.
"He was conscious that whole time!"
Yes, and he was in his own personal fucking Hell.

Death is probably preferable.
I disagree. Since he seems happy that he isn't dead, he's enjoying life, I would say it will simply add more fuel to that raging debate. Both sides would have potentially valid arguments.

I like the idea of "none" better too, though. D:

OT: Well, I hope it doesn't happen to me. At least people realized and he can communicate now.

He'd be fuckin' great at Poker!

Holy Shit. He was in a coma for 23 years, and awake for every minute of it. I'm only 14, and I always get bored, I've an Xbox and the internet at my fingertips. That man only had himself to keep him company.

I have always wanted to have time to myself to think, but i don't think i have enough stuff to think about for years on end, and yes by the end i would be extremely angry at everything because that's 23 years of time wasting that you couldn't have stopped

That is some serious nightmare fuel right there. Like... serious 'personal fucking hell' stuff. I can't even begin to fathom what that must have been like. I know this has all been brought up before, but this man is a living example of 'I have no mouth and I must scream'.

What's even worse is the doctors... how could they misdiagnosed someone that massively? Not less for 23 FUCKING YEARS. My god...

I don't think I'd be capable of not bearing a grudge if I was that man... actually I don't think I'd be capable of any higher thought any more... seriously, I would have LOST it.
I call this High Octane Nightmare Fuel, at least for the poor man. Literally a prisoner in his own body. I can;t fathom how terrible that must have been.

I hope now he will live life to the fullest extent he can now.
Yeah, I understated it; it's High-Octane Nightmare Fuel, alright... (A lot of people seem to visit TVTropes, eh?)

Although I do hope that he is able to live his life now... at the very least, now he can do things. Here's hoping the methods used to discover that he wasn't actually in a coma is used on others; who knows how many people in the same position as he was could be out there...

Good god.

He reminds me a little of Buster Bluth.
Buster was doing it on purpose, for about two weeks. This guy was trapped. FOR TWENTY THREE YEARS.

I get bored if I have to sit still and silent for a few hours, I'd have willed myself to death before waiting that long.

Fuck man... I really should say to my close ones that I want to be euthanized should I stay in a coma more than 6 months!

That's just horrific. Poor guy. Seriously, I can't imagine a wose kind of hell. :(

But imagine the relief for him when he finally did wake up. Incredible story, and let's hope the doctors can help people who are going through this, now that they know about it.

I've told my relatives that if I get put in that sort of state to kill me right away.
Couldn't you have asked your enemies to do it? Assuming you have enemies, they'd probably be glad to have the opportunity.

Good god..The worst part is that there was nothing he could do about it..he couldn't kill himself or anything.Yes,I would prefer death than have to put up with the sheer horror of what happened to that poor bastard.
