Man, this song is so manly, it doesn't even need lyrics:

Edit: Longer, but equally manly:

Any album put out by Chuck...

I can't finish that joke. I have too much self respect.

While it may not be the manliest music, and depending on how hard you want to work out, I'd suggest Dragonforce.

Other songs that will get you pumped (but may not be "manly" enough for ya):
KMFDM - Disobedience
Girls Under Glass - New Gold Dream

Anything by Rage Against The Machine?

As for ice cream and puppies? Anything Belle and Sebastian, Snow Patrol, or Architecture in Helsinki have done. black tape for a blue girl will make you cry... puppies not needed... though you might just laugh at it, too. The Carpenters, maybe? Hell, I dunno. Ask some sensitive fucker with a sweater, glasses, a beard, a scarf, and an iBook what he listens to.

Also, is this really the internet? A forum thread with over 80 replies (most of them with youtube links) and not a single rick roll?

Scrubs + Safety Dance :D
He can dance... He can leave his friends behind.

Cause his friends don't dance, and if they don't dance, then they're no friends mine!

Dude, you're freaking awesome with a capital O!

Any song by Ensiferum is automatically manly, as they are all about Vikings, and as we all know, Vikings are infinitely more manly than you

Well I'm just surprised that no one has rick rolled this thread yet, (well as far as I'm aware). I was going to but I thought no, I will not.

Well, I dunno about manly, but definitely one of the best songs ever made.

Manliest song, no doubt :)

But since I'm of the wrong gender in this topic, I have *no* clue what I'm talking about.
That song makes me want to punch puppies. Now that's manly!

You can post a song that epitomizes the opposite of manliness if you want, you know, something that makes you want to eat ice cream and coo at babies.
Oh fine, you're leaving me no choice.

When I used to work a job that required me to drag my ass out of bed every morning for the death march of a commute, I had the following MP3 playlist on my computer for the morning routine:

"Crazy *****" - Buckcherry
"It's a Long Way to the Top" - AC/DC
"Thunderstruck" - AC/DC
"Of Wolf and Man" - Metallica
"Through the Fire and Flames" - DragonForce
"Civil War" - Guns N Roses
"Voodoo Child" - Jimi Hendrix

My boss always wondered how I managed to have a hop in my step and a chip on my shoulder at the same time. Sure, eventually he fired my ass, but I like to think I made his cardiologist's life more interesting.

I have found a foolproof way to create instant man points from half of Iron Maiden's songlist. It's simple:
1)Take one of Iron Maiden's many slow-starting songs. They have many: Number of the Beast, No More Lies, For the Greater Good of God, the list goes on and on. You'll find most of them (and the ones that work the best) in their last three albums - Brave New World, Dance of Death, A Matter of Life and Death.
2)Get to know when the piss-weak part (joke, don't kill me) turns into the pulse-pounding part.
3)Play song at relatively normal volume.
4)Wait for that moment.
5)Wait.
6)Wait...
7)W
8)a
9)i
10)t
11)...
12)Is it there yet? Ok, CRANK IT!
13)Instant awesome every time.

OK, here it is Escapists. I need some new work out music, there's only so many times that eating a raw steak braised in Red Bull while listening to 'Eye of the Tiger' can get you pumped up.

So, which music gets you in the mood for being all manly n' shit? You know, punching the walls and having sex with supermodels while you're doing it. Manly.

Alternatively, what sort of music makes you want to take care of wounded puppies and eat a big old tub of ice cream?
XD That is probably the most well crafted OP ever.

KMFDM & Pantera for the first, and Sarah Mclachlan and Enigma for the second.

For a weird middle ground, check out VASTs first CD, they're like Enigma's evil twin.
