Has anyone been able to find Taris on it?
And shouldn't Malachor V and Peragus be 'Acknowledged' at least?
Taris is at the northern part of N-7. They have Rakata Prime and others from KOTOR 1 on there, so I see no reason why those aren't there. I haven't been able to find any others from KOTOR 2 except Nar Shaddaa.
I don't remember Rakata Prime in KOTOR 1, was that the very last planet I had to go to before the end battle. Because if it's not, than I've never been there.

I know there's probably an answer to this and I don't even really care, but why is Dagobah on a trade route?
Where is Dagobah, because I can't find it and I know it isn't where it is suppose to be(North-West of Yavin).

Ignore the last time I quoted you about this. I was mixed up and was thinking of Dantooine. Now I found Dagobah, strange.

I was looking over the map included in the link when I noticed a planet. A planet called Naboo, and then I flashed back to Episode 1. PTSD isn't fun, let me tell you.

However I really need to go buy a poster sized version of the map, if only for my nerd cred.

What they don't tell you is since this was long long ago the entire galaxy has actually been sucked into a black hole since then. Sith or jedi, gravity will make you its *****.

Its interesting to see them map out the universe but its dumb to transcribe 3-d space on a 2-d plane not to mention the fact that due to varying rotation speed of part s of the galaxy, this map is only good for one moment in time and then will forever be off. Of course this is Science Fantasy so whatever.

Does anyone still live on Mandalore?
Yes. I know you got the quote regarding the Duchess and all that, but even in Luke Skywalker's time, the planet is slowly being reclaimed by its people. Only the die hard Mandalorians are attempting to live there, but they are making progress. And their numbers are growing. Sadly, Fett and anyone from his family line cannot live on the planet due to a toxic attack by the Imperial Moffs.

I found Kessel, but I don't see the Maw anywhere. Am I missing that, or is it not there?

I just can't help but think "how is it there's a whole third of space that's utterly unknown?" I mean, the other two-thirds is a total clusterfuck of planets, trade routes & etc., and that one-third, nothing? Sorry, but I'm just not really buying it. (keep in mind, I don't know much of the Star Wars universe. Mass Effect on the other hand...)

Huh... Not a lot of planets listed, considering the size of that galaxy... XD

Though I guess you can't mention every single inhabited planet in a fictional universe, since someone has to come up with one first...

But it is ironic considering some of the arguments that arise sometimes, that the maps of the Star Trek universe (which are maps of much smaller areas, usually) show more than this one does.

this seems to be less of a news article and more like a belated advert for an atlas that came out two years ago.

You are closer to the truth than you realize. Sound familiar?

That's just embarrassing. Really. I stopped keeping up with the EU after reading the horrid Legacy of the Force series and I'm glad to see I'm not missing out on much.

I suppose copying from other sci-fi universes is somewhat better than continuously copying from your own universe. And people wonder why this map is so small. It's because every Star Wars piece of material has to visit Tatooine at least once.

Oddly enough Kamino is missing from the map. It's supposed to be in grid S-15 south of the Rishi maze. Rishi is clearly there. I guess it's still "deleted" from records or something?
The Empire slagged the planet after the Clone Rebellion, duh.
Nawp the New Repulbic actually placed the planet under it's protection and after dismantling the cloning facilities the Kaminoans stuck around all peaceful like.

Should I feel bad that by watching the 6 movies and playing only KotOR, Jedi Academy and the first Force Unleashed, I still know a few of those places? ;[

My Star Wars nerdiness may not be that strong, but shouldn't Tatooine be in Hutt Space? Jabba's Palace is there, and in Episode I (I know, I'm blaspheming here) Qui Gon said "It's controlled by the Hutts".

If I'm wrong, let me know
