Bummer. I'll swing by the site next year to check again if I remember.IceForce said:That would be a 'no':

The music during said smiting would have been really good. So that would have been a plus.PsychicTaco115 said:Toby Fox would have personally graced his presence upon the site...
and then proceed to smite everyone who doesn't vote for him in a bullet-hell fashion
You're probably right. The final would've probably been between Bethesda and CDPR, with CDPR winning.Fappy said:CD Project would have almost certainly won this year.
The Elder Scrolls games have always felt way more evocative to me, so I think it makes sense. There's only so much to say about nuclear wasteland #231.IceForce said:Digital Homicide should've been in it. That would've been awesome.

That being said though, I'm not sure how popular Bethesda is here anymore. Because I remember visiting this forum back when Skyrim was released in 2011 (of course, I didn't have an account back then, but I did still visit occasionally), and the gaming board here was FULL of Skyrim threads. You couldn't move without tripping over one of them.
But now with Fallout 4? We've barely had any threads about it at all. Maybe 2 or 3 threads that quickly faded into obscurity.
Such a stark contrast.
CD Project would have lost in the finals to Valve. Again. Like every year.Fappy said:CD Project would have almost certainly won this year.
I'd have voted for From Software, personally.

Have you learned nothing from your time on this site? Steam is God, Gabe is Pope, and there will be no blasphemy against He Who Discounts PC Games.
There's a reason Fallout: New Vegas worked where Fallout 3 and especially 4 failed. Bethesda went and made this really accurately Fallout Retro-Future wasteland, then proceeded to remove everything else Fallout from the games. They really screwed the pooch with Fallout 4 which went as a far as to remove all of the personality form the game entirely, giving you a character choice of between bland stock male #4,599,341, or bland stock female #2,622,101... What made the first two Fallout games fun was cheese, self aware humor, and really variable results for the end of the game, based on your character build and choices. Bethesda doesn't have the creativity to do that sort of thing.Fappy said:The Elder Scrolls games have always felt way more evocative to me, so I think it makes sense. Anyway, much to everyone's surprise, Valve didn't win or even get into the final last time. They were knocked out about mid-way through.
