You can get a achievement from it.
Your spouse may bring you income but then again may cause you to lose money...

No point to it really. I probably won't get married it's a video game I hoepfully don't want to have simulate that on a video game to know what it's like.

All we know for sure is that your spouse will live with you, act as a companion, give you meals, and will NOT involve "romantic animations".

Considering Bethesda's previous interactions with the Uncanny Valley, I'm okay with this.

Did they allow for homosexual marriage? If not, they better be prepared to hear about it.

I think they did actually, I vaguely remember an article about it.

I think so, yes.

Also, are kids a thing? I know Bethesda's weird policy on kids in games, but I think if they went down the road of their Fallout games, it wouldn't be a problem, i.e. kids can't be killed and are never put in violent situations.

Really? I am disappoint.
I would love a game in which the player's children are given some depth, unlike the Fable kids which are annoying and only require regular visits/gifts to keep them happy.

I assume you'll need to kill off your spouse if you want to be a high ranking member of the Dark Brotherhood. Even if that's not the case I look forward to marrying within my race, murdering that broad then going on to marry an Argonian or a Khajit.

From what I've heard from my friends, marriage actually does constant damage to your character's Endurance and Willpower attributes (damage which apparently stacks with every new child your character creates)..........

Honestly, it sounds kind of pointless....................[small] in the game, that is[/small] ..........

Kids have indeed been confirmed. Not your own yet, but other children. It will presumably work just like Fallout 3's children.

Well there's the possibility of your spouse helping you fight things, but I don't think that's all that helpful. I'd rather have the ability to go wherever I want, whenever I want without being obligated to return to location X every once in a while to check on my spouse. Even if you do bring them along, unless they're also dragonborn, expect them to get their ass handed to them.

If they're not going to be mortal, then I at least hope they won't make me wish they were.

I don't see why there wouldn't be kids. I mean, kids do exist in the game. A quest involves an orphanage after all. Though, in retrospect I can't remember if that orphanage had young kids, teenagers, or a mix-mash of both...
