"Uhhh, what? Oh! We go onwards!" She said, pointing to the end of the road, where it turned a corner out of sight.
She bounded ahead, full of renewed excitement.
"Onwards, to freeeedom!" Squeeble said in a bad scottish accent.
They reached the corner, Squeeble bouncing merrily ahead until she heard the roar of a sea monster.
"Oh Schmit! Run for your chocolate-coated lives!" Squeeble yelled, bouncing to the edge of the river and pulling herself up onto 'solid groud'
She turned and waited to help pull someone up, bouncing up and down in a panic.
"Okay... It seems that there's more than one monster that lives in, or rather on, this black river." Pocky mused. "But if you look, the only part of their body that touched the river was those round black legs of theirs..."
"Spiffy noooooooooooo!" Squeeble dived dramatically, tackling Spiffy to the ground.
The sea monsters eye flashed, and it turned down another river before it reached the marshmallows.
Squeeble sat there on top of Spiffy and tilted her head.
"Maybe we scared it away?" She said.
"Now... I dunno." Squeeble jumped back up onto the pavement.
"But the river isn't safe, we should stay up higher." She said, then smiled and hopped around the corner.
"Yaaay! You're right! I call dibs on any couches in there!" Spiffy replied.
Spiffy started to climb the tree, with minimal success.
"Grrr, stupid tree, not having elevators!"
Squeeble watched the others try to climb the tree.
"Guys guys guuuuuys! We need some kind of rope to get up there."
Squeeble looked around, hoping for inspiration.
"Oh!" She bounced over to a nearby flower.
"Flower stems! We can use them to build a rope ladder, and whoever can bounce the highest ties it to branches as they go!"
