Out of all the movies you've mentioned here, both in the main review and the bit at the end, I've only seen five.[footnote]Harry Potter, Iron Man 2, Prince of Persia, Let Me In and Skyline.[/footnote]

And Skyline is actually...terrible. Really, really terrible. The only plus point is Donald Faison (Turk from Scrubs) and HE DOESN'T GET ENOUGH SCREEN TIME! *Ahem* But apart from that, it makes no sense at all and the ending just kinda ruins the whole film. Plus there's the stupidity on the whole "Look into the light" thing. The main characters both look into the light three times, although they both know that doing so might get them killed. But they still do it anyway.

Anyway, rant about Skyline over, Iron Man 2 was good, Prince of Persia was better then I'd hoped for but OK at best, I liked Harry Potter, apart from the tent dancing scene (Why, dear God, why?) and Let Me In was...surprisingly meh, although I now fear 13 year old girls by themselves in a park. >>

Anyway, good list overall, looking forward to this year's movie reviews.
[sup]Question, will you be reviewing Season of the Witch any time soon?[/sup]

Likely not. Didn't look interesting to me. Maybe if someone else wants to go, I'll tag along, but...yeah, it's not looking likely.

What? Not a documentary fan?
I recommend: 'Restrepo' and 'Waiting for Superman'

You also should check out:
Four Lions
A Prophet
Winter's Bone

I'm not really. Plus, the theatre closest to me doesn't play any documentaries...ever, making it hard to go and see them.

I prefer to watch them on DVD anyway.

Woah. How did I not see this review? o_O

Sorry, Marter! :3

Anyway, fantastic list. If I were to make one myself (which I plan on doing hopefully to no fanboy rage), it'd probably be pretty similar to this. Good job ^_^

I'm glad you included Fair Game here as I loved that movie when it came out. Shame it got literally zero advertising. >>

Thank you kindly!

I know. It sucks, because ended up being a box office failure. And yet, it was a really good movie. I've promoted it twice now, with this, and the actual review of it. Hopefully I convinced....at least one person to see it. >_>

No, I don't think so. I just... I dunno >>

It's a shame, really. Oh well. I enjoyed it a lot, even if I thought it was a bit boring at times, but that was just me as I find politics extremely annoying and mind numbingly boring but that's a plus for the film for keeping me entertained even with that.

But yeah, I hope you convinced at least one person too as it was a fantastic film ^_^

huh, same boat as JK, I really don't remember being notified of this...anywhozzle, glad to see someone recognizing Shutter Island. I feel like most people just forgot that movie came out in 2010. I also feel like I really should try and rally my friends to go see Black Swan at some point. Really I just agree with your list Best list, and I avoided everything else, exceptions being Harry Potter and The Other Guys. I'll disagree with you on Harry Potter, as I did like that movie a fair bit, and I really just have no strong feelings on The Other Guys. Wasn't terrible, and I got a few good laughs (The way The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson leave the movie was hilarious) but at the same time I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way to see it.

You aren't in the user group, so you wouldn't have gotten a notification. :p

Glad to see another Shutter Island fan!

I'll take your praise of it as an excuse to see The Fighter; the trailer really interested me yesterday when I saw The Green Hornet.
[small]Green Hornet is a bit of a dissapointment, really... Everything good about it is in the trailers. Literally. I'm not just exaggerating, there are few other fight scenes and jokes than what are displayed, but anything worth watching is all there in a 2-minute video....[/small]

I totally dissagree with you on Harry Potter, but that's probably because I'm a huge fan of the series, Book and Film, and this first part of 7 really, really captured the attention to detail that the film versions of 4, 5, and 6 totally lacked.
So I guess I'm a biased opinion on HP7.

I didn't think Salt was bad, but I can see why you did.

And I'm annoyed at Shutter Island, because it looks amazing, but my friend spoilt the ending for me...
