What? Oh, no, I was just speculating there...it just would make sense for there to be some new developments in order to assist Shepard in his quest.

But if those robots do end up being Alliance-made, there would definitely be some complications there.
Well in the first book the Alliance did less than smart things developing an AI all secretly like. I could defiantly see Cerberus making these using some off shot of that development. Though only time will tell. Kinda wish E3 would hurry up already so that I can get a better sense of the overall plot.
i haven't actually read either of the books; are they worth it to read?

I only read the first and it was very much worth it. It focuses on Anderson and Saren which I have to say was a very compelling read. It has Anderson's test to being a specter in it and how it goes horribly wrong. That alone was probably worth it.

Anyone know a good place to find the books for sale? I'm tempted to just go the amazon.com route that I've done in the past for game related fluff books.

I know I plan to pick up that book at some point, hehe.

Also, the Mako is one feature I wouldnt be sad to see go the way of the dodo. I found maneuvering and fighting with that behemoth to be quite the uphill battle(sometimes quite litterally, ever try driving that blasted thing on a slight incline??) I usually found the most useful way of using it was to run over enemies, or use the jets, and "park" it on them *evil laughter*.

I see no reason why every quest should be resolved in the same dull enviroment, don't tell me that there aren't any small settlements out there, or other cities. The game wasn't rewarding exploring the galaxy at all, side-quests were chores, although the way they ended was usually done well, but that has everything to do with the story and nothing to do with the enviroment. Make the game look as thrilling and awesome as the story is.
But especially the planets annoyed me, yes it's ok if some of them are lifeless rocks, those exist as well, but if a planet is described as one with an extremely lush ecosystem with huge insects and stuff, and when I land all I see is mountains with a grass texture, I feel ripped off. Some planets even put in a randomly placed group of wierd animals for no apperant reason (I remember a group of gazelle-like creatures with arms), then I really think: what the hell are you trying to do here? Are you mocking me? If you describe a planet like it's a really awesome place, actually make it look like it's description when you actually go there. If you don't, you're just lying to your players.
How far in the future will it be then?
Bold for emphasis. I'm also really hoping to some more settlements/colonies out there. Given the fact we're exploring a galaxy here, it would only make sense for there to be some colonies dotted around on the more habitable planets (as well the less hospitable ones too I suppose). They wouldn't need to bear any relation to the main story, they could just be a place to trade up and generally chill, taking a break from all that intergalactic exploring. Sure, we do have the Citadel, as huge as it is, but it still can't be the only civilized place worth visiting in the galaxy.

I'd continue, but it's late and sleep is required.

Dammit people, I haven't beaten the game yet! Stop talking about this Cerberus fellow!
It's an organization actually. And they will all burn if they are the main bad guy in ME2. Just going to throw that out there.

For Kahoku! >.>

the alliance has illegally tinkered with AI in the past, and I'm sure Cerberus has been playing with that quite abit, so on the robotic level I am not concerned in the slightest...Im more concerned with what the Quarrian's are up to and if thats going to bleed over into the game.
