Mass Effect 2 - Anyone else going nuts?

No, I have a thing called patience. I pre ordered it a few days back and the only thing that keeps reminding me of the game is the stupid hype surrounding it. I'm not so much excited for the game than I am cautiously optimistic seeing as the first game was a steaming pile of wasted potential, to put it nicely. It's looking good so far, and looks like everything the first game should have been, but if this fails to impress me then I'm not going to waste my money on the third.

I just want a good sci fi RPG dammit, I will not settle for average.

Replayed ME1 few weeks ago and loved it even more than the first time I went through it. ME2 is going to be great.

I pre-ordered the collectors edition, and I'm looking forward to continuing where I left off in Mass Effect 1, but I'd say I'm more excited about Metroid: Other M and Dragon Age Awakening.

Only eight days now? Oh, awesome. I preordered the Collector's Edition a day or so ago. I bought the first on a whim and pretty much as soon as I passed the one hour mark I was obsessed with it. I'd go back to improve it, but the only missions left are the exploring and "go to x, kill y, nothing personal" missions. Nothing interesting like Bring Down The Sky left.
I admit, however, that it doesn't look as good as the first.
