.... so, BioWare .... are you saying that you will proceed in stealing away my time? First Dragon Age 2, which is making me replay DAO and almost every noteworthy DLC related to it -- and then you are throwing THIS at me?

How many hours of my life will you devour as I wade through Mass Effect 1 with DLC and Mass Effect 2 + DLC?

Do you have no shame?
Do you replay everything every time there is a DLC?
No, I usually do the "sensible" thing and collect it all for one long marathon. Which is why I still haven't played the last few DLCs for Mass Effect 2.

Yeah.

See.

Sensible.

Me!

Yet, as I look around the general public reaction towards ME2 is -- at the very least -- very positive. At the end of the day: ME is not DA and they have separate teams creating the products.

This may seem fanboyish (I don't mean it as such), but the only thing that makes the two franchises similar is the company label.

I kinda liked Hackett faceless, oh well.

All you "the operative is totally Ashley/Kaidan" naysayers, I want a written apology when it turns out to be Conrad Verner XD.

To the side-topic of this thread, the dumbing down of ME2, yeah, I agree, it went from good balance of RPG and shooter to full on shooter and it suffered for it. That being said, I'm too invested in the story of ME (the main reason I play any game) and will therefore get this DLC as well as ME3 and all its add-ons. C'est la vie.

I didn't play Dragon Age, so I'm not sure what the 'Rage' is about, can somebody enlighten me pur-lease?

Here's to a badass finale to the ME story in 3, and hopefully no Halo Wars-esque genre jumping (unless they really take care with the story, no contradictions Bioware, you hear?)

Dragon Age 2 was fun, it just wasn't anywhere near the quality of DA:O

Mass Effect 2 was fun, it just wasn't anywhere near the quality of ME 1.
Although, admittedly, the inventory was a massive improvement over:

1. Collect Gear
2. Realise you've got eight of the same Assault Rifle
3. ???
4. Profit

So exciting! *Twists fingers into a knot in anticipation*

I can't wait. This is just what I need to kill a week or so.

Just purchased my xbox slim and have yet to even touch any of the DLC yet! I guess ME2 will keep me busy for some time to come! Maybe now the wait for ME3 will fly by.

I don't fault them for wanting to make money any more than they should fault me for trying to save money. Let's face it, this is more than a game addon, this is advertising, this is reminding people that there is a sequel on the way and why they want to buy it.
of course it is. DLC is a HUGE racket. but i and many, many, many others will still eagerly download this DLC when it becomes available.

Can't be. Conrad is going to turn out to be the super-powerful, "Oh my God he actually KNOWS what he's talking about" squad mate that you can only get if you were nice to him in the first two games. Just like Shiala, the green Asari, will be an extra character if you sparred her and helped her Mass Effect 2.
I wish the screen shots were more interesting. The only one, to me, worth getting excited about is the one of Hackett. Just over a week to go now.

Hoping us ps3 users dont get screwed over with this, but Bioware have a good record so far, its Bethesda that seem to forget about ps3 until months after the xbox and pc gamers have finished it. Looking forward to Arrival though, hopefully it'll be just as epic as it seems.
