Well, that was kinda shit. And especially dissapointing after how good Shadow Broker was.

Christ. I felt like I was playing a distinctly substandard third-person shooter. Which shouldn't surprise me since that's exactly what Mass Effect 2 is when you strip out the story, the characters, your squad-mates and the neat dialogue. That is to say, all the stuff that Bioware are actually good at.

Furthermore, it added absolutely nothing to the story. Before Arrival the overarching plot had reached the point of "the Reapers are coming to fuck us up". After Arrival the plot is, "the Reapers are coming to fuck us up, once they catch the next bus."

So yeah, a big fat "Meh" from me.

Micro-necro here.

Is there an option to not activate the 'project' or to turn it off at some point? I kept on waiting for that option to appear but it never came up.

Nope.

You can attempt to mitigate the... negative effects. Note the word "attempt". But all it does is give you some paragon points.

(Pardon the vague language. I'm trying to avoid spoilers for anyone else who reads this.)

So the game really forces you to choose the "better safe than sorry" option no matter what. Bah, I guess it makes sense, sort of.

Also, anyone totally annoyed and or humored by the fact that they couldn't get Seth Green to do Joker's voice for this DLC?
