heeeey

so I just got my PS3 yesterday and I'm having alot of fun with it

anyway I also happen to be a huge ME fan however unable to acess the DLC and I hate the the feeling Im missing out,

thing is I notice that all the DLC seems to be included with the PS3 version....and even so I'm unsure if Ill be getting ME3 for PS3 or PC now

so essentially Im asking is all the DLC actually there? I wont have to download it? (cant connect it to internet) also can you choose the decisions you made in the first game?
[/B]
also any suggestions for good games for PS3 are welcome

I know it feels kinda wrong to even consider playing it with a controller..

It's not as good as the first, but it's enjoyable enough (as renegade at least).

edit: somehow I managed to not read the bolded part :p
Not sure if the DLC is all there on PS, on PC there are 24 DLC all in all (iirc). Just give the store a call and have them check the box for you.

All the DLCs are included, and the ME2 DLCs are some of the best I've ever played.

In short, yes, it is absolutely worth it.

Yes, it's worth it, go buy it now. Also consider getting Mass Effect: Genesis to give your Shepard some backstory. However if you can't get your PS3 to an internet connection then that will be a bit hard.

You'll only miss out on the DLC included with Cerberus Network such as Zaeed: The Price of Revenge, Firewalker, Normandy Crash Site, Arc Projector, Cerberus Assault Armour, etc. Also you won't be able to download ME: Genesis to give your Shepard a backstory. Also Arrival the newest DLC and is not included.

Is getting internet into your PS3 really that hard? Even just temporarily so you can download the extra DLC? The patches are important too.

but already comes with genisis right? thats how you choose (since its technically not fair for PS3 owners as the first one was never relsed) because I think if you didnt load a previous save it went to all the "crappy" renegade options

anyway my internet situation is essentially a computer with one of those little USB modem things (my aparetment has no wires to speak of...not even TV I have to use rabbit ears for that) so Im pretty sure theres just no way, plus I have low download limits so Im not about to go downloading GB worth of DLC...that pretty much of the reaosn I'm thinking of getting it for PS3 in the first place (unfortunatly aiming is going ot be a nightmare)

I disagree...ME2 for me was better in alot of ways (but lets not go there) plus Renegade shepard is an ass

All DLCs except for Arrival and the appearance and weapon packs are there, I'm pretty sure.

Though having the second game without having the first is an icky thought to me.

...wait, I just described something as "icky". Punch me.

I think you need to be connected to the internet for the DLC to work. I didn't realize this until a storm knocked out my connection for an hour and I couldn't access my current game because I was using DLC in it.

"Mass Effect 2 on PS3
Mass Effect 2 on PS3 features over six hours of bonus content including:
Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC
Overlord DLC
Kasumi: Stolen Memories DLC
Blood Dragon Armour DLC
Access to the Cerberus Network
Interactive comic chronicling the events of the first Mass Effect (that's Genesis the writing in it can be a bit weird like really weird)"

you might need an internet connection to get it or it might be on the disk i don't know i got it for 360. if so piggyback of any internet you can find for a while cus there is a very nasty bug with the vannila ps3 version.

Hmmmm. How funny. I'm playing the PS3 one right this minute as my renegade playthrough.

If you don't have internet connection, you'll miss out on all the DLC content until you can hook up to the internet, activate the Cerebrus Network code and download the couple hundred meg file. This includes the interactive comic book back story, that lets you make ME1 choices and changes your ME2 game, which really is the most important part for newcomers who've never played the previous game. Should have been included on the disc.

As for whether it's "worth it", I dunno. I'd only played the PC version before the PS3, and the issues I've come across so far:
* Very occasional frame rate decrease. Not quite as bad as people have been making out. HOWEVER...

* Dialogue has a nasty habit of cutting off sometimes. Maybe only 2 or 3 words before the end of the sentence, but other times it can cut a whole conversation is half. I have no idea what causes this, but it'd be very annoying if you're the type of person who doesn't like subtitles. I use subtitles for everything, but I know a lot of people don't. In that case, you'd be going "what? what was that last part? what was he going to say! Was it important! AH DAMN!". It's not overly frequent, but it's more frequent then I'd like it to be.

* During the in-game cutscenes, the sound often goes out of sync. Very annoying, very jarring, and immediately drags you out of all immersion or emotional investment you had in the scene. I'm seriously wondering why these issues havent been patched.

Overall, it's not bad, but the graphically glitches and lack of polish probably mean it's an inferior version to the PC/360 ones. That said, it's still hell of a lot better then 80% of the other games out there, and if PS3 is your only choice you'd be insane to pass it up.

That has only happened to me when I played DLC on a 360 that didn't have the licenses. DRM is a ***** but that's usually how DLC works.

Well Genisis was made for the PS3 first so I assume that it should be included. I don't actually know much about PS3 versions.

I saw this and immediately thought of a way to solve your dilemma. You could most likely connect your PS3 to your PC via an ethernet cable and bridge the connections. I do not have the time at the moment to explain the process, but it is far simpler than it sounds. Anyone can do it after a quick Google search. The only catch is that your PC has to be on for your PS3 to connect, but that's no big deal for most people.

As for Mass Effect 2? It's great.
yeah I thourght about this (kind of tried it) but even then Im not sure its possible (though I know nothing about this stuff) theres no router in my set up...just a USB thing and the laptop..yeah I dont know

I'm pretty sure the DLC is actually on the disk I read on some forums (the cerberus netowrk is seperate DLC..I dont care much about that)

then again I dont know

Yes, but if and only IF:

You don't own a Xbox 360 or have PC capable of running the first game.

I see. You can try to right click on it and share the internet connection without bridging it. What OS are you using? Mac, XP, 7, Vista?
well i have no Idea how the fuck I did it...but I'm connected now :/

anyway ANOTHER thing its clear that the Comic has to be download via the cerberus network, the thing is though didnt they "shut down" the cerberus network or what ever a while ago? is that stuff no longer availible?
