I don't have any of the dlc characters, basically I want everybody except Shepard to die at the end.
Is this possible?

I think it's odd that bioware added this whole thing about characters dying at the end of the game, seeing as you would actually have to WORK to get them killed.

Um, maybe if you get none of the loyalty missions. I lost Miranda's loyalty and she died. Then again I had Grunt's loyalty and he died as well. Brave guy went down as he lived; fighting like a madman *salute*

I don't think so because at the end you need to have a squad member to pull you up into the Normandy - Joker's not strong enough.

Out of curiosity, why do you want everyone to die?

Weirdly, behind the scene's it's a bunch of equations. All the characters have a defence value, and having loyalty acts as a multiplier to that value. If you have Grunt and Garrus as loyalty pretty much everyone can survive, loyalty or not. However, if you don't gain any loyalty and take Garrus and Grunt with you for the final boss, that should probably get them all killed... Probably.

Role playing, lots of people die when my character gets sent on a mission, but he gets the job done.

Just the idea I have for my character.

It's a combination of whether or not you have done the Loyalty missions and who you assign to do what during the suicide mission.

I'm not sure everyone can die and have shepard survive at the same time, but if you search on the web there's plenty of guides on who's supposed to do what in the suicide mission.
Just makes sure they aren't doing it...

You can't.

Someone of the team has to pull Shepard up at the end. If everyone's dead, Shepard dies too. Joker gets shot as he's trying to pull Shepard up because no one is providing supressing fire.

If everyone else dies, Shepard dies. You have to have TWO people survive the suicide mission for Shepard to survive; if you have one or no members left, you die.

Doesn't it defeat the feeling of roleplaying if you have to follow a guide to get the scenario you want to roleplay?

Well keeping them alive depends on their loyalty, ship upgrades and the roles you give them in the final mission. So don't buy ship upgrades, find someway to lose everyone's loyalty (which i don't think is possible) and give them all fucked roles in the final mission. Like instead of sending a tech expert like Legion or Tali through that tunnel thing send someone like Jacob. Although i'm not sure it's possible to have Shepard the only survivor i think if you screw the end up badly enough everyone including Shepard dies. But i've never tried to make my squad die so i don't know.

One person has to live besides you and Joker. Otherwise no one is there to drag Shepard up when he jumps.

So the answer is it can't be done, at least one person must live.
