Yes, I'm OK with you having that opinion.
I happen to be of the opposite opinion, I prefer ME1 to 2, but we're all allowed to possess different opinions.

OK, now time for the internet appropriate reaction:
YOU BASTARD, YOUR OPINION IS WRONG AND I'LL KILL YOU OVER IT!

Hard to say for me. On one hand, Mass Effect 2 had an absolute crap main story (doesn't advance the plot and why the hell are we working for Cerberus?), but on the other hand, most of those characters and their loyalty missions were fantastic. Mordin's mission is still one of my favorite gaming moments ever.

But ME1 has Wrex. Dammit, I'm calling it a tie.

Ive recently begun my 4th character on ME, from the first game, I think this will be my last, because its become really tedious walking all over the place, I am now dreading going on the mako to get 100% completion, because I always miss out on 1 of the stupid medal from the order of one.

The combat, is very very dull in comparison, and even the party banther seems a bit more stale after the 4th try.

Additionally ive replayed mass effect with my 3 other characters at least half a dozen times, I never went back all the way to beginning before, because I found ME2 much more appealing, even with the planet scanning.

Ive seen lots of complaints about how ME2 ruined Mass Effect, by taking out some of the "RPG elements", and I have to disagree entirely. Making the game more streamlined and compact to deliver more action style game play while still retaining the Lore of the game and Building on it with more character interaction does not ruin a game.

I prefer ME1 even though technically and gameplay wise ME2 beats it easily.

I love ME1 because of the epic history, with lots of big moments.

Name 3 BIG moments

ME2 in comparison has a whole bunch of disconnetected missions and is ultimately filler on the Reaper threat.

You read the leaks for Me3?

The number 2 reason why i love ME1 over 2, is immersion and an open feel to it.

In ME1 you land on a planet, you have to find out what's going on, what the Geth/Saren want here? multiple paths and everything.

You mean Noveria and Ferros, because theres only 2 plot relevant planets.

ME2 often just drop you in planet with a ton of Mercs/Collectors and say "shoot everything until you reach/find X".

And the difference from ME1 is?

The shooting is better undoubtedly, but i didn't become a Bioware fan because of shooting...
Why did you become a Bioware fan? because of the same rehashed story plot that revolves around an ancient evil and the big twist around the main character?
