Just go with Catherine. If you like JRPGs like Persona then you will like Catherine.Kawaiitsuki said:I played the original for about... 2 hours or so and got bored of it. I couldn't figure out a lot of what to do and I couldn't change weapons. Maybe that makes me an idiot but I read the damn manual about 4 times but still couldn't figure out what to do. It was nice looking but just boring to me.neonsword13-ops said:It's no problem, really.
Just out of curiousity, why did you not like Mass Effect? I'm not going to flame you. Just need to help with the conclusion game.cpt blackamar said:erm...they're entirely different, no-one could tell you unless they knew what you like specifically, as they have little to compare toYeah, I know these are totally different games but it's really all that's out that I don't have that I want/haven't played.keideki said:snip
I enjoy Japanese games a lot. JRPGs make up the majority of my game shelf.
But I enjoy lots of different games. Strategy, RTS, Shooters, Co-op, Sci-fi, Action/adventure and so on. There's really no genre I don't like. I'm just weary about Mass Effect 2 since I didn't really like the first one.
Yeah. It's like asking "What should I eat? An apple or a plate of french fries?"cpt blackamar said:erm...they're entirely different, no-one could tell you unless they knew what you like specifically, as they have little to compare to
If you didn't like the original, why consider the sequel? Mass Effect is mostly about the story. The cover shooting portions are well done, but they only complement what's already in motion. Ignoring the story the only thing I really like about the series is that if you're patient enough to do several runs you can have an all out biotic character who is able to wipe out mobs with telekinetic powers alone.Kawaiitsuki said:Long time lurker here so yay, first thread made!

Because I've heard ME2 is extremely different than the first. Most people I know who disliked the first loved the second, so that's why I ask.Aisaku said:If you didn't like the original, why consider the sequel?
And this post ends the thread. Good job, sir. You deserve a cookie for that answer ^_^RedEyesBlackGamer said:I've played them both multiple times. Catherine has a better story, gameplay, and has more endings. I just found it to be a much better game.
