It's a problem on SDTVs like mine (32 inch). I know HD is well-established technology now and all, but being able to read text of all things should never be a problem, no matter what kind of TV you're using. Mass Effect 2's isn't unreadable mostly. An exception is when you're talking to Anderson in the Presidium and the dialogue options are shown over a white surface in the background. That's the only truly unreadable text (although the rest of it is harder to read than it should be) in the game. Gothic 4's text, however, was very much unreadable (at least in the demo).

They have said they'll look into it for ME3, since a good number of people mentioned it, but it's not going to get patched in ME. I had the same issue on a 20" standard tv.
Luckily my boss was selling off some spare HD pc monitors so I invested in getting it hooked up to that and to be honest I've never looked back. I'm not a graphics whore and I though stuff looked fine on the old CRT tv, but games look so much better on the monitor (with the added advantage that I can play my xbox as much as I want with headphones, and my flatmate can watch whatever MTV shite she wants on TV).

I really don't get why developers put in larger text.

Is it really that hard to make text large? If its hard to change while your in development, then why didn't you just use larger text from the start?

Just a pain. Luckily I can hook up my 360 to my PC monitor. For you, I'd suggest trying to get the cable that allows you to hook the 360 up to your PC monitor. Thats about all you could do short of buying an HDTV.

Assassins Creed had this too, its when I realized a lot of developers are no longer making games with standard definition in mind.
