EDIT: Oh shit! Was that the EA logo?!?!
Yes, yes it was. Still, lets not despair just yet. They haven't released the ridiculous "metal" sex and violence trailer, so there is still hope. Regardless of the presence of the EA logo, I still have faith in Bioware.
*Phew!* Ok....breathe...breathe... Maybe you're right. Just because I saw the Devil's face doesn't mean he's coming to get me.

I'm about to speak some heresy here, but at this point the Mass Effect universe is more interesting to me than Star Wars.

I just hope they keep the weird electronic music and don't go too orchestral with the score
hardly hearsay, agree 100%

Nonsense! I agree too. On my second Mass Effect playthrough I actually explored more in-depth than the first time. And I found so much of it new(did you know that level VII weapons get 2 upgrade slots?! Because I didn't lol)! Not only that, but I read some of the codex stuff and alot of it seems more Sci than Fi. I actually studied up on Turian biology and found it quite interesting; alot more-so than human biology! It's that level of depth that makes the game feel so real, and I love it! So I'm really hoping that they go even further in-depth with Mass Effect 2, specifically with the number of different worlds you can visit. The unexplored worlds in Mass Effect are cool and all, but seem very "cookie-cutter."

Wait, was that the Normandy?!

EDIT: Oh shit! Was that the EA logo?!?!
Yes to both. The Normandy's apparently been blown up, which is where I think the "Commander Shepard: KIA" thing from the teaser came from), and Bioware's been acquired by EA. At least EA has said they're letting Bioware do their own thing, however.

By the way, you guys know that tower that was being shot up in the trailer (I think I heard in an earlier interview that the tower belongs to Nacana Dantius, that ***** of an asari in the first game who had you unwittingly kill her sister)? You think that was Cerberus doing that, or someone new?

Also, didn't those robot dogs look like Houndeyes from the original Half-Life?

I'm going to have to go back and watch the video again (oh, such hardship), I must have missed the Normandy. I thought that the "robot dogs" were those Varren (sp) that appeared in the first game, only this time with armour. If so, then I wonder if we'll be seeing more of the Batarians, given that they tend to use the Varren in combat.

I'd really like to see the weapons system re-done. AR, sniper, shotty, pistol; that gets old. What about training in dual pistols for engineers and such, or two-handed heavy weapons like miniguns or flamethrowers, OR melee weapons! Thought?

Also, if I can't respecialize my class in ME2, I may just start from scratch because I am getting sick of not being able to use snipers AT ALL just because I can't specialize in them! And there's only like 2 classes that CAN use snipers which is bull! I understand not being able to receive sniper training, but no other class can even zoom in! They need to re-do that.

This and Dragon Age are the top 2 of my "Most Excited About" list, so, yeah, go Bioware! Mass Effect was absolutely fantastic and I'm currently playing my second character, a Paragon Vanguard with the Sniper Rifle bonus talent. As long as they iron out the combat system, focus the side quests more onto the main story and provide the ability to give commands to individual squad mates, as well as maintaining the excellent standards of writing, Mass Effect 2 should be one of the best games Bioware have ever made.

I am very interested in finding out what those synthetics shooting up that building are. They don't look as advanced as Geth so I'm guessing they can't be Reapers. Probably Cerberus's latest experiment. I'd also like to know why theres a large gaping hole in the Normandy. Then again trifling obstacles like zero G enviroments, explosive decompression and lack of oxygen aren't excatly going to stop a bad ass like Shepard from kicking ancient death machine ass are they?

If they don't offer a cure for the genophage in this game I'm going to cry.
I'm willing to bet that's in the third game. But man, if you have to destroy it again, Wrex is gonna be so pissed.

Not just Wrex, I'm gonna be pissed. And crying. But atleast Wrex will be there to make me feel better...or will he? Of course he will. If they ever killed off Wrex I would put down the game and walk away. And then I'll probably start playing again because it's such a good game. But I'll be angry with it.

I liked female shepherd so much and my infiltrator was so bad ass I can forgive that half the game was driving a crappy vehicle on planets they spent less than 5 minutes on

I think maybe Nassana's working with the Shadow Broker, actually. The way she went on about information falling into the wrong hands and all...and let's not forget, if you played as Paragon, you probably pissed the Shadow Broker off by refusing to sell him the information on Cerberus.

I want more moral decisions this time round, not to mention sexytime.
Yes on the moral decisions, there were precious few god ones, and only one that I actually had to think about (it was in Bring Down the Sky) in the entire first game, but those that were there were really good. I want to see more.
