I just love the fact that bioware has made a universe rich enough that someone could write all that...

although, for the record, who the hell bothers reading all those damn codex entries!?

even so, the universe has its own feel, and i very much like that

That was a very interesting read, made some connections I never even thought of, I just really hope it doesn't turn out like this http://www.matrix-explained.com/ and it turns into a painful reminder of what could have been.

As for the Protheans affecting the evolution of over species, I would say that there is a strong case for the Asari being helped along by the Protheans,
1st They are all natural Biotics, which I could never understand seeing as all the other species need specific exposer to Element zero (too much of which killed them) and even then other species need implants to properly produce and control their Biotics.
2nd They have a ridiculously long lifespan, which would normally hinder evolution but due to their method of reproduction they can become much more genetically diverse.
3rd Their aquatic look, most species come from the ocean, including humans, but our appearance (and many of the species in the ME universe) have altered to such an extent that based on that alone no one would guess our origin, but the Asari are distinctly aquatic, combined with my second point (long lifespan) this would suggest outside influence.

I read the codex entries. They were one of my favourite parts of the game, alongside the Mako.

OT: I eagerly await that guy's next update. This has been a very interesting read so far. I wonder how much will turn out to be true.
