Probably is the reason for the delay. It reeks of the bean-counters getting in the way of the creatives. Killing the golden goose. Here's hoping they don't fuck everything up.
Bioware has already shown that short production cycles for them is anything but creative.

That ain't exactly a spotless analogy, you know. A coat is a one-time purchase, as it exists, it is perpetual, until destroyed. By purchasing a single game, you do not, in any shape or form have the right to immediately own any future installments, you'll still have to go through working for the money, making the decision of buying it and doing so.

Also, the coat saying referred to taking the generalization upon yourself, not any gaming issue at hand.

I don't have anything to show you right now, more or less because I haven't got the patience and definitely not the time to go into such extensive research, although I'm pretty sure I could find you some. Bringing out something from a close-knit userbase to a supposed larger is a risky move, but not in any way impossible.

Though you'll have to take this with a grain of salt, as I for one always argue that even ME2 wasn't necessarily deserving of the term 'dumbed-down'. Similarly, this issue as well is opinionated, there is no right or wrong answer.

Here is a tweet from Christina Norman, gameplay designer for ME3.

"Let me make this simple: we are improving both the RPG and Shooter aspects of ME3"

Think the more passionate people on this forum should take a breath and wait it out.

What i'm more concerned about is the comments bioware made about Dragon Age and reviving characters if they still need them for the story.

I really hope they don't do that to Mass Effect 3, a huge part of ME2 would seem kinda pointless otherwise.

Pretty much the gist of the 'fan' reaction ;)

It still pisses me off when they stop making that brand of coat though. And I let their customer complaints know. However, unlike retail, game manufacturers often don't care what the public says.

Anytime you're ready, I've got a huge pile of "tweaks" that made something far worse.
Though you'll have to take this with a grain of salt, as I for one always argue that even ME2 wasn't necessarily deserving of the term 'dumbed-down'. Similarly, this issue as well is opinionated, there is no right or wrong answer.
I avoided saying "dumbed-down" for a reason; but can you think of anything in ME1/2 that you'd like "tweaked" so that fans of the series would enjoy it more?

Because it sounds like, from all the publicity, that they simply want to copy CoDs "Innovations".
