Basically it is standard Co-Op missions with the side-effect of being able to play as a turian.

It doesn't say that you can't play as a Krogan and some of the screen shots seem to indicate that you can. Plus in the video he mentions being able to play as a drell which isn't in any of the cut scenes or the video, plus as popular as Krogans are I'm guessing that they wouldn't leave them out.

Any race, you say?

Hmm... this has possibilities.

I'll have to play as a Geth then. Legion always was my favorite character.

There are 6 races available: Human, Krogan, Asari, Drell, Salarian and Turian.

As far as I am concerned, this sounds interesting... "Mass Effect Multiplayer" could have ended a lot worst.

Single player can be done optimally without it - good.

It's a different way to play the game that is said not to be necessary - good.

No characters will have their single-player significance minimalised so that they can get spotlight in multiplayer - good.

I'm......cautiously optimistic that Bioware might have done this right. I doubt I'll have Xbox Live Gold when playing ME3 so I'll be sticking mainly to the single player, if my experience is not affected by the added multiplayer, then I'm all for it as it can bring in another crowd which leads to more sales which leads to Bioware getting freedom from EA to make more good franchises rather than kow-towing to the bottom line.

I'll see where this goes. Suffice it to say, for now my raised eyebrow has lowered a little.
