Really, the part that angers me the most about banshees are the times they dodged my rockets in mp (that damned jerky movement). Though some insane lag-based instakill grabs are a close competitor..No. said:I can kill most, if not all enemies.Risingblade said:Pffft Brutes are wimps, now banshes...god damn they are a pain

Hey hey, I'm a Vanguard, and I sometimes want to be the Max Payne of Mass Effect with Adrenaline Rush.steampro said:Am I the only one who went Soldier with assault rifles and smgs?
I'm so generic..
Honestly, as a soldier the SMG was the only weapon I didn't take. Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Pistol, and Assault Rifle, sure, but SMG? No thanks.steampro said:Am I the only one who went Soldier with assault rifles and smgs?

Well, I really do love turn based shit. But, honestly, the combat in Dawn of War 2 was better.MetallicaRulez0 said:This is the best combat that has ever been in an RPG, bar none. I don't even understand how you could argue against that statement. Unless you just REALLY love turn-based shit or something.
How could a game with a 3.5 user metacritic score have good shooting mechanics or any redeeming qualities.Riddle78 said:Gettign shot while in cover? Enemies have superior elevation, and you're in low cover. Deal fire back, and find higher cover if possible. Brutes are meant to be minibosses of a sorts;just pull out a powerful weapon (semi automaticsare generally best) and use fire-related abilities,or Warp, since Brutes are all armour. Husks are all melee;keep your distance. And,the extent of stealth in the Mass Effect franchise was "Tactical cloak to get to a superior position". Powers misfiring? Well,it happens. Blame it on the Omni-Tool or Biotic Amp. Just shoot them while the cooldown ticks down. You're COMMANDER Shepard. Issue commands to your squadmates! And for your accidental rolling? Wait until the action command text turns white, and stay stationary. Also, get used to the distance from cover you have to be to prevent rolling.
Long story short? Be a good gamer.
On account of having been metabombed to oblivion within the first few hours of release, that's how.myunclesue said:How could a game with a 3.5 user metacritic score have good shooting mechanics or any redeeming qualities.
Agreed. Has good strategic-planning aspect, while at the same time being fast paced and exciting, thereby combining the strengths of the previous 2 games.distortedreality said:I actually think the combat in ME3 is a big improvement over the previous ME games

Metacritic? I dont put any salt into those ratings. The only person who can form an opinion worth following on something is oneself. I played all of Mass Effect, except the full release of ME3 (I played the demo),and oyu know what? I encountered similar issues. Then I reacted like a proper gamer, and made adjustments to my playstyle, and enjoyed the game more.myunclesue said:How could a game with a 3.5 user metacritic score have good shooting mechanics or any redeeming qualities.Riddle78 said:Gettign shot while in cover? As an adept I was able to thoroughly kick ass and rarely needed to cover. They seemed to power up most of the classes this time.Burst6 said:Because the vanguard is awesome.ElPatron said:Never played Mass Effect. Shouldn't we be able to just play with whatever we want instead of just choosing the obvious path?
All the classes are perfectly viable, just as good as the vanguard, however where all the other classes rely on boring cover mechanics, vanguards charge into battle shotguns blazing blasting people with massive biotic attacks.
I'm doing a quick second playthrough of the trilogy, with a xenophobic, ass-kissing, subordinate hating twit of a Shepard that basically gets everyone killed.distortedreality said:I actually think the combat in ME3 is a big improvement over the previous ME games

Yes you can, but vanguards are the easiest way to kill everything in sight. The Soldier in SP is god hax, so dont get used to him during MP. Infiltrator, Engineer, Adept, Sentinel, they all have their nuances and at least 2 or 3 ways to play them.ElPatron said:Never played Mass Effect.
