Good, a demo should help remind me not to buy this one for a while. The Dragon Age 2 demo stopped me buying the game altogether, and had I played a demo of ME2 I would have delayed my purchase for at least six months.

Players who don't have one of the passes will have to wait until the 17th of the month to start lobbing singularities at their friends.
I sure hope I won't be lobbing singularities at my friends, mostly due to the fact that it's a cooperative multiplayer.

Is Bioware TRYING to get every gamer dumped by their significant other?

"What was that honey? Valentine's? I can't hear you over how awesome Garrus is being! And look, it's Tali! She's hot! Don't you think she's hot? Honey? Where did you go?"
So true. I'm going to have to tell my boyfriend that we may have to do a Valentine's Day breakfast as the demo downloads, and then I'll just be busy for the rest of the day. And the next day probably.

It's romantic until you realize that this is BioWare's secret plan to have every significant other alone on Valentine's Day, just like half of the staff at BioWare on their Valentines.

...

*ahem* I said nothing incriminating.

A demo? ^^ That will be nice.

I mean, I already preordered the thing, so this will be more like a fun "mini" version to mess with beforehand.

Then again, playing the opening in the demo... and then playing it AGAIN in the main game might just get a little annoying. I mean, as much as I love ME2, playing the "OMG the ship is exploding" bit at the start has gotten rather old already. Don't need to jump start that with ME3.

Then again - again - the multiplayer might be fun to test out....

So much temptation! But I will stay strong! I will wait like a good girl until my collector's edition comes in the mail! I will!........I will......I think...

Good timing. It will take the minds of single nerds away from their horrible soul-crushing loneliness.

Also I it will pose an interesting dilemma for the not single nerd.

sounds nice, but i rather read that origin is not required to play ME3. but unfortunately even the demo requires origin to play.

A Demo? In this day and age?

I knew I've seen a pig fly by my window this morning...

And about time, I say! Finally a game I can try out before shelling over the money.

it's predecessor? what are you talking about? why does mass effect 2's opening get so much praise? it was good, sure. but it sure as hell wasn't epic. walking around a mostly empty, sterile laboratory shooting back at skinny robots that may as well be in wheel chairs... that's not epic...
don't get me wrong, mass effect 3's opening DOES look epic;D it's nice to see that between mass effect 2 and 3 bioware actually took the time to look up "epic" in the dictionary.
Heh, I was referring to the very first part of the opening sequence, where Shepard's roaming around the fiery remains of the Normandy. I still remember the "Shepardshepardshepard seriously space is right there" scene perfectly - for me, that's epic. The subsequent robots weren't quite so cool, no, but a wrecked spaceship and the first glimpse of an enemy force that looks too powerful to ever be beaten...that's a setup.
