I still like the idea that I've been kicking around of a hero's funeral for Shepard in which all the supporting cast gives a little speech about how Shepard affected their lives and the lives of their entire species. Think that could knock out two birds with one stone. Hell, even the Rachni Queen could be there to sing the funeral dirge about how Shepard freed her twice! :3

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being cynical but reading between the lines, I get the impression that someone at Bioware, even if it's just Hudson, still thinks the ending is fine. The phrase "even more context and clarity" stongly implies that the ending is already clear and makes sense in context.

Personally I am going to wait and see how the free DLC plays out. I doubt it will completely appease me, but then I can always reserve judgment on Bioware games only to give them my money when I know that they are offering a quality product with no strings attached. I am not going to be buying any ME3 DLC however. Showing them they made a mistake will hopefully lead to better decision making on their part going forward.
