Mass Effect 3: Favourite moments.

With the endings and the like flying around about ME3, I'd like to hear about the favourite moments during the game that you loved/liked. I'm just trying to keep positive until more news about the DLC comes out. They are rumour flying around at the moment, but I want to try and keep a netural stance about this now my anger/disappointment has passed.

So... Favourite moments. Laughs, mantears, facepalm... lets hear it.


Mine:
Listening to Garrus and Joker making jokes about turians and humans. Nice perspective of the two races making jokes about each other.

Giving a rock to Tali. Its minor, but symbolic. Powerful as well.

When Cerberus attacked the Citidal, I had Garrus and Javik in my party. When we were chasing Kai Leng in the car and Shepard started shooting at him, Javik started driving the car. Funny as hell seeing his face. It was like he was saying "How the eff do I drive this primitvte vehicle!?"

I've got a ton more, but these three stick out.

I have many.
My favorites have to be.

- The Tali/ Ashley drunk moments.
- The Tali and Garrus romance moment.
- Meeting a better Jack.
- The Take back of Earth.
- Getting hit by the Harbinger lazer.
- Meeting all my previous Comrades again. (Wrex, Grunt and etc)
- Curing the Krogan thingy and seeing Mordin's last moment.
- Uniting the Geth and Qurains together.

All for now, hopefully I can put a "true" ending in there at some point.

To many variables. Hmmm... Problematic.

-Grunt fighting the Raichni-Reapers.
-Mordin sings while curing the genophage.
-Finding out Jack isn't such a ***** anymore.
-Uniting the Quarions and Geth.
-Talis admission of love.
-Tali drunk.
-Day out with Garrus.
-Seeing Miranda push her father out a window.
-Talking to Rannoch Reaper(That's what I call it anyway).
-Making the Illusive Man shoot himself in the face.
-Slow-mo face off with Rannoch Reaper.
-Seeing Kalros kill a Reaper.
-Stabbing the son of a ***** Kai Leng in the gut.
-Watching my combined fleet come through the Mass Relays to kick Reaper ass.
-Fighting back against the Reaper forces in London. My home!
-Turning off the game when I get hit by Harbingers laser and waiting for the DLC ending.

Face off with the Rannoch Reaper
Killing that little emo Kai Leng with a "This is for Thane you SOB"
Kalros vs. Reaper Destroyer

Ha Marauder Shields. That's a good one. Weird how he just pops out of nowhere all "sup brah!" Almost as if the game was trying to seem out of pla-NO!

Seriously though reading that indoctrination theory was the best part of the endings. If Bioware actually adopts and follows through that theory with DLC they might be able to pull something back. Maybe... Probably not but hey gotta hope right?

Let's see... That bar in the sky was fucking perfect. And Mordin's death scene goes straight to number 2 in my list of favourite death scenes, and number 1 in best video game deaths. It's the singing that gets me... Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.

Finally that scene where Shep is questioning whether he can can make it (the one in the calibrations room) and Garrus just delivers the perfect line to snap him out of it. Fuck that was genius

Seriously though reading that indoctrination theory was the best part of the endings. If Bioware actually adopts and follows through that theory with DLC they might be able to pull something back. Maybe... Probably not but hey gotta hope right?

I just finished ME3 and watched the Indoctrination theory video and if that is what was intended then the ending was perfect. You don't need any more options than that. This is the only way it could have ended. If you destroy the Reapers then Shepard accomplished what he set out to do. Any other action would just confirm his indoctrination.

I thought the ending was good until I watched the other two and was dissapointed by the lack of variety but when I found out about the indoctrination theory I thought the ending was nothing short of amazing. I'm not sure if I want it to end any other way now to the point where I might avoid the DLC.

The dialogue between Garrus and Shepard before the final push on Earth. I shed manly tears. Garrus has been the mainstay character in my squad through ALL the games. As soon as I've picked him up, he's been there. Unlike any of the other characters who referenced missions in previous games, Garrus was there with me. "There's no Shepard without Vakerian".

I've posted in at least two of these threads, but what the heck.

- "See that bright orange part there? That's roughly where my home was."
- Liara's time capsule project.
- Speaking with Eve.
- Seeing Jack find her place.
- Wrex continuing to be Wrex.
- "Emergency induction port."
- "Did... did a Reaper just shoot at us!?" "Oh Goddess, I can't believe we're doing this."
- "There goes the next Shadow Broker..." ... "Guys, that's not funny."
- Banter between James and Cortez.
- Seeing the gathering of the fleets.
- Joker and Garrus swapping jokes.
- Hearing Shepard get desperate. "We can do this... we can do this!"
- "You're a Prothean, you're supposed to have all the answers!"
- Grunt Vs Rachni. (Even though it made no sense and they messed it up by having him survive.)
- The final goodbyes.

 

[Fuhrlock]

-Mordin curing the genophage while singing. Uplifting, hilarious, tragic and awesome all at the same time.
-Punching Han'Gerrel after leaving the geth dreadnought. That's for not listening to me everytime I've told you not to fight the geth...which I'll remind you started at Tali's trial.
-Solving the geth/quarian situation by the renegade option, by saying I'm bored of saving you enjoy your imminent death.
-Using the renegade options in the final illusive man encounter. Sure the ending sucks but damn if this guy hadn't been overdue to be belittled and humiliated.
-Questioning EDI about uploading 7 zettabytes of explicit imagery onto the cerberus mainframe, her first response 'It was mostly Jeff's'
-Garrus teaching Legion a lesson about calibration.

I liked reading the BSN whine threads about Jacob having cheated on them.

Although the whining about Tali's face being a poorly photoshopped stock photo deserves an honorable mention.

Probably on my second playthrough I just grew fed up with the Quarians whining and waring. If I could roleplay shepard better I would of punched the one that shoots at you while your in the dreadnought. After the Quarians made their last push and got OBLITERATED they were all cool and like "we'd like to help you."
