She looks really young, and what's with the make-up? I doubt she'd have time to apply that when the world is being destroyed.

Maybe for Dragon Age, she's okay, but for Mass Effect...eh. We have the default male Shepard be some older guy who looks pretty average (and creepy), and we have the default female Shepard be a teen model? Meh. At least the appearance is changeable--not that I'm using female Shepard anyway.

As beautiful as I think this Shepard, and fanart, is - and I do; it's my new wallpaper - I am unhappy. Simply because...

I'm waiting for the barrage of "Gingers have no souls!!" backlash jokes. Just watch, about half the people who didn't want FemShep to have red hair will resort to those derogatory jokes.

This is why I was hoping she would have dark hair. Oh well. Thi is beautiful artwork by Patryk and I'm happy that FemShep at least looks suitably badass. :D

NOPE!! Cuz everyone knows it's month/day/year! *grumble damn countries and your backward dates grumble*
We go Smallest-Medium-Biggest unit of time measurement. You go Medium-Smallest-Biggest.

Believe me, you're the backwards ones :p
It's written like it's spoken.
March (3) 6th 2012 (12)
You say today is march the 6th 2012? 6th of march sounds better.

OT: Meh.

Her eyes look like HERP DERP!

Eh, why couldn't they have just modeled her after Jennifer Hale's face?

Does anyone else think she looks a bit derpy/constipated in this picure? LOL.

Don't get me wrong, I like her general appearance and it should be great, but I think this particular picture is a little silly looking.

Just look at the mouth and eyes xD

For those who say she looks too young, please remember the time period. People live to 150; people don't show aging anywhere near as quickly as they do now. Someone in their 40s looks like they're still in their early 20s, as pointed out in the Mass Effect books which I actually liked *hides behind flame shield*

I have a piece of paper that has the exact numbers to use to get that face, after an hour of dicking around, both on the sliders and on the internet after giving up. My most precious possession.

Oh shut up about how she is allowed to look young because of the setting. That's the same justification I've seen people use for watching lolicon, since they're really seven hundred years old trapped in the body of a kid.

If she looks too young to me, then she looks too young. I don't care if there is an explanation for it, she still looks too young.

Its not lipstick.
if you look at the background you can see its quite cold, and shes outside, without a helmet - lips get red when they get cold.

Cool.

As people have said, looks a bit young, but oh well. It's to be expected with female characters. They're generally drawn to be attractive before any other considerations.

She looks like a psychopath...

However, I'm more interested in the fact that Bioware has kind of abandoned realism; a twenty(?) year old isn't quite old enough to have reached such a senior position...

That said, I've never once even considered playing as Femshep, so I'm don't really care.
Well, it's the space faring future, so I would assume there does exist technology that'll keep a lady looking young well into middle age.

Although, personally, I like to think Commander Sheperd just doesn't give a fuck about things weaker humans do, like "sleep" or "age".

For you. If the canon justifies it (And the canon has, long before it was an excuse to make Shep prettier), then maybe you're the one with the problem, and not the material?

Just a thought.
Lol hey man as long as your okay with the example he used then am fine, i just hate hypocrites. You gotta be fine With Etna from Disgaea who's like what? 1800 years old? yet she looks the age of 18 or younger, am fine with it, just gotta make sure the mass effect fans arnt hypocrites.
