Can't wait to blow some dudes up! Although I fricking hope we get to pick a species as well as class so I can be a Krogan Battlemaster.

EDIT: And also this is probably the only ME3 multiplayer thread that has a positive comment ^^

Well if they do it, they better do it damn well. Or face the rage of thousands of pissed off Consumers. aside from that ME 1 and 2 worked fine without one. i dont see why we do now.

If it doesn't affect the quality of the single player experience, the pain-in-the-ass'ness of its DRM, or the price of the game, I'm OK with it. Something tells me that won't be the case.

Apprently I missed this, because I just found a news article saying they were hiring multiplayer programmers in June 2010.

When was the last time Bioware had multiplayer in one of its games? Neverwinter Nights?

Pointless, their combat system is terrible put up against multiplayer focused games so why would you even go there.

And then you haveto consider they had to take time out of the single player building to spend it on multiplayer... dumb, so very dumb.

Oh dear, as long as they don't pull a Bioshock 2 and sacrifice single player for multiplayer then it could work...

But in my opinion, if a series has worked just fine without multiplayer for the first 2 games then it's not necessary to add in. Also, adding multiplayer at the end of the trilogy seems like a bad idea because you can't judge how well it did on the previous games to refine it and make it the best it could be.

Overall, it just doesn't seem like a good idea to me; this could be a d**k move on Bioware's part

Don't see why they would need it, but Co-Op multiplayer would be fun/great (at least I think so), if very unbalanced. =D

I don't think it needed it seeing as 1 and 2 went just fine without it.

Won't be using it myself either way, I play ME for the game itself multiplayer just doesn't do it for me in a game I play specifically to play solo.

eh Its too early to know if its going to completley cock up the game

anyway Bioware knows that this will piss people off, and that people like their single player...so I dont think single player will suffer

anyway I get the feeling EA is behined this.....

There's been a thread on this. The multiplayer is DLC coming out a month after the game launches. I highly doubt it will affect the singleplayer at all, and if you don't want it for fear that its presence will taint your soul, you don't have to buy it.

Of course, that won't stop people from raging about it and feeling betrayed. Gamers...
I know right? and its not like people arnt alrady whining over ME3 (well SOME people anyway)

if thats true...that its a DLC being released AFTER the original game then I see no reason to worry

anyway best not to listen to raging fans, they cause headaches

Maybe they could have multiplayer missions that you can do on the side, like the ones in singleplayer, that don't contribute anything to the main plot.

It would have been foolish not to, its the last in the series and people what to keep the experience going. I wish all trilogies worked this way.
Single player for the first two and the third leaving with multiplayer.

*gasp*

Time to crank the rage!

...

Nah, not really. I'm ambivalent about the whole thing. I'm eagerly looking forward to the single player. But as for multiplayer...eh, I'll check it out if it doesn't come with a bunch of annoying sign-up crap. Worst case scenario, I just ignore it. No loss.

I really dont like the idea of multiplayer, i can understand why their adding it in, to try and capture some more gears of war fans or whatever
But i dont see how they can actually add multiplayer without it adversly affecting the single player
