Now what would br really funny would be if Bioware did their Legion thing. By that I mean a Collector squadie. Would be pretty cool. They actually arent all that different yht Geth and the Collectors............

Also I'd say all the charecters who can stay with you will i.e Garrus Jack Thane possibly Mordin
whilst the others, who have better things to be doing will become NPCs and maybe recruitable in the final battle

Also a Grunt-Wrex showdown would be awesome

Not as easy as you think. Legion's frame is unique in design; it runs many more programs simultaneously allowing it to have a networked intelligence level without the additional hardware. A network of one.
Ahh, I wondered why he was smart without loads of geth around. Should talk to him more next play though.

I'm expecting ME2 DLC to further set up the next game and give the universe a reason to pay attention to the Reaper threat. So I think the old team will be back (those who are living, Kaiden died in ME1 and Mordin in ME2 for me).
Really, I'm expecting massive DLC (like what Dragon Age: Awakening is being hyped up as).

i would love to see a rachni squad member. the queen contacts you on illium or something if you let her live in the first game, and say something along of the lines of you helped us, so we'll help you.
anyways, i'd take garrus, tali and legion and the rest are up to bioware.

This is a Turian male: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=e8u4o3&s=5

This is a Human female: http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2007/09/25/biel-wonder-woman.jpg

Notice something out of place?
Still doable. Though there may be some chafing ;)

Things have come full circle, I wish they would stop dicking around and call it what it is: An Expansion Pack. But yes, while I'm annoyed by the whole DLC trend, I hope they release some more content based on this engine so that I have more time to earn money to buy another computer before the next one comes out.

What would be even better than DLC though, would be a toolkit/construction set for making your own missions/modules/levels/whatever, kind of like the old DM toolkit for NWN or what Bethesda games have. Do they have this for DA:O?

I'm surprised that so many people are in love with Legion. What it suggests is that many people did the IFF mission quite early on and had time to get to know him/her/it/them. I would have expected the vast majority of people to have done that mission last... But I guess not.

You should. You learn a lot more about how the Geth work. The bodies you see aren't the Geth, they're just mobile platforms that the Geth programs download themselves into in order to undertake physical tasks, so even if you only see one body, there can be multiple Geth programs present. Which is probably the case with things like Geth Primes, they have some programs running combat tasks and some running hacking tasks, allowing them to use the hacking skillset they do.

If I could have my pick I would take

1. Tali'Zorah vas Normandy
2. Legion
3. Mordin Solus
4. [spoilers] Urdnot Grunt [/spoilers]
5. Urdnot Wrex
6. Garrus Vakarian
7. Thane Krios
8. ME1 Love Interest
9. New Guy
10.New Gal

It'll be good. But we started with 6, then we got 10 more so I think we may be in for more then my suggested 2 new characters. Also Miranda and Jacob despite being shitty characters probably will return.

As long as I get Legion, the rest of the characters can fork right off.

Unless you can have sex with Legion, in which case they can get killed off too.

I personally would love a female turian squad member in Mass Effect 3. Why? It'd accomplish several things.

Firstly it'd show that female turians actually do exist and the devs didn't just forget. Second, it'd give Garrus a potential love interest/sparring mate and that would be adorable! ("I had reach, she had flexibility...") Thirdly, putting a female turian in the party would give players the opportunity to learn a lot about turians and their culture, and what it's like for women in the Turian Hierarchy.

Hopefully said female turian squadmember will be a love interest, but maybe that's just me. At the very least, the Garrus romance sidequest in ME 2 proves that turian-human relations are viable.

And that way, Commander Shepard will potentially be able to say he's slept with an asari, quarian, and turian! How's that for inter-species relations? :p
Not so great for inter-species relations... What about all that krogan love you could be having? I distinctly heard that Shepard had received a mating request after killing the thresher maw in Grunt's rite of passage!

Garrus. MOTHER. F@#!%ING VAKARIAN.

Also, I would love Wrex to come back. That was my squad, always. Garrus and Wrex! They were friggin' awesome.....

...You know, I wonder if they'll be any fluffy bunny species in Mass Effect 3...

I did the IFF mission last the first time through, found out how amazing Legion is, and so then went through the game again and got Legion ASAP.

Then all my crew save Dr. Chakwas died in the Collector base. That made me sad. There really shoulda been a "Talk to EDI to install IFF" option thing, instead of just automatically doing it after you get Legion.

I ended up getting Legion Thane (D.:) and JAck (no one cares about her) killed so my ME 3 squad will probably be me, (infiltrator) grunt (insert current krogan here) and miranda, though Garrus is pretty badass replacement if Miranda is getting annoying.

My vote in no particular order:
Wrex
Garrus
Mordin
Legion
Thane
Williams/Kaidan
Grunt

Running around with 2 badass Krogan would be game over for the reapers. I hope that Wrex has his shit together with the clans by the time the 3rd comes out and can run around raping shit again with Shepard.

We have 4/5 ME1 Squaddies, and 0-8 new ME2 Squaddies. Therefore the least amount of squad mates you will have (if everyone died in ME2) is 2. I think Bioware will add 3/4 new characters or make some older characters recruitable to make sure the people that totally failed in ME2 still have a decent selection

How would you fail quite that badly? The only way to do so is to completely ignore the character summaries when choosing people and the job you're assigning them to do.

I hope that Garrus,Tali will make it in ME3.Can't say that I liked any of the other characters apart from normal, but those two stand out maybe because I've had them in ME1 as well.

I like Jack. Her shockwave is Oh-My-God awesome. My team would be my ME1 team, though. Tali and Liara. It would be even better in ME3 because I "dated" both.

I like pretty much all the series' characters aside from Zaeed and, to a lesser degree, Grunt. I just tend to have a full-on tech and a full-on biotic because my main Shepard is a Soldier. I got Legion late in the game. He's an interesting character. I made sure to keep him alive so (if Bioware chooses to go in that direction) he could be studied.
