At the very least, I think they'll tweak the ammo system a little more so that it isn't completely illogical. (So I pick up a clip, and the ammo is distributed to each gun I'm carrying. But if I run out of sinks for my sniper rifle, I can't take a few from my pistol's pool? But...but they're specifically designed to fit any...ahh, there's my annuerism.) And I suspect planet scanning will bite the bullet as well.
True, true... But when has there ever been a game that handles reloading logically?

As for suggestions...can we please have the ability to alter our Shepard's face after initial creation? I spent 50k platinum getting the improved med bay in the hope that I'd be able to make my MaleShep less dorky lookin', but...alas.

Also, if they don't bring back Tali, I am going to be a very sad nerd.
That is actually very true, I was amazed that they didn't bother to add an option to alter your old face, just use it as it is or make a completely new one... You'd think you should be at least be able to change the hair.

It's also kinda annoying that the scars your Shepard might have had in ME1 disappeared completely. I would much rather had that than the new ones, which are there obviously only to have the Dark Side stress have a visual effect.
Sorry Bioware, but I think you are getting mixed up with your own games here. This one was Mass Effect, not KoTOR. Renegade isn't the same as Sith.

Amen to that. I'm about halfway through my second playthrough, this time as a renegade, and it's getting harder and harder to accept my hideous, glowy-scarred, red-eyed DemonShep as a serious character. I really didn't want to go scouring the galaxy for platinum again, but it breaks immersion every time some stranger sees my terrifying visage and doesn't at least comment on it. (Or run away, screaming, or splash holy water on me, or look slightly panicked while avoiding eye contact.)

Most people generally agree that ME2 was a huge improvement on the first game. This is due to an overhaul on how the combat system works and how they implemented the RPG elements. The only thing that is generally disliked was the planet scanner in lieu of the mako, which really was a moot point in my opinion. I think the story was a good progression from where the first left off and left us with a great set up into the third.

That being said, will the third be a better game? If everything were kept essentially the same but the story would it be considered a success? Sequels of games are usually considered worse if it is the same game because it's not "groundbreaking". I know that this seems to be the case in the Bioshock 2 reviews. People are generally unhappy they didn't add anything. So if everything is kept the same but the story is an amazing conclusion will it be considered better?

If they need to change certain things to tweak the game further, what will it be? How can bioware make Mass Effect 3 a better game?
There is only one thing I would ask, and I will try to be calm about it.

I don't know...I've got a bad feeling that if they do, it'll be because her mask's been blown to bits by an explosion, and she's pulling a Vader in Shepard's arms.

Just thank your lucky stars this isn't a Team Ico game. They'd probably even kill off your space hamster.

Oh, he'd definitely be screwed, he's both cute and an animal. Poor Boo.

If i can have a group with Legion and Kaiden, ill be happy (Well, maybe not kaiden, after he was a prick and as all "You workin with Cerberus??? FUCK YOU SHEPARD!" (and apparentley Ash does the same thing so it looks like a good thing i let the xenophobe melt)
Think about Kaiden/Ashley's reaction beyond the knee jerk one (will use Kaiden as an example to avoid keep putting both names). First of all he reacts with his gut instinct that tells him to hold you, then he knows you are OK and from his point of view he's been grieving over the woman he loves for 2 years and there she is, alive, he doesn't know know that you have been dead for two years and has been pretty much faithful in that time. He is an honourable man, he saw with you the results of Cerberus's work and can't understand what would make you work for them, everything he thought he knew has been challenged + he is an alliance man. Secondly he realises later that things aren't so simple and sends you an email giving you a clear message that his heart is still yours..... :)
I agree with you about Kaiden and Legion in the same party.
They need to put more RPG elements back in, they took too much out to please the GOW crowd, imo. After initial trouble with the combat I am fine with it, they did well, but more powers please and faster cooldown or at least don't have cooldown on everything when you used one power that is dumb, and irritating if you used a power just before idiot team mates (usually Jack) gets all gung ho and gets themselves knocked out. Not being funny but if I just used overload on an enemy why do I need to wait to heal my party member? Some badass I am :p
They need to work on the conversations, I don't 'know', my new team like I knew my old team, they don't give anything up really, beyond ''Oooh, I've been a tit and now I want your help, so I'll throw you a crumb of information about me and my life'' Also for the love of all the gaming gods, BioWare, bring back random party dialogue (especially DA:O type banter, Zevran, I adore you............) It makes me believe my team mates actually know each other, duh!
More equipment please you went too far, I liked buying new stuff (I'm an RPG'er, dammit, it is why I love BioWare and not Bungie, no offence to them, don't hate them)
If you must have planet scanning do it so I can still use my left thumb IRL, thanks a bunch!
Bring back the Mako, you can do it, it is intact.....
Also bring back the damn lifts, some of us liked them they were a very pleasant way to endure loading times. The new loading screens suck, they really suck!

Usually the second is the best so prob no.
Like Devil May Cry 2? Oh wait a minute.................
Second games like second series of TV shows frequently fall short of expectations. DMC 3 is considered to be redemption for the DMC games, it being far and away superior to 2. I'm not saying you have an invalid point but it is a bit of a sweeping statement and often not the case.

Well, I hope it's a combination of the shooting of 2 and the RPGness of 1, myself, minus the ten copies of the same gun but with the "I shot a guy, and now I have his wallet and items" aspect.

Very well put and also pretty succinct! :)

I'd like the shooting to stay the same, but the RPG just a little bit more intensive. It's boring just having one set of fiddly armour, takes the fun out of looting.

There's plenty to be fixed.

1. SCAN FASTER
I always do the click-scan-move-click method, instead of the long arduous scan consistently method. So I essentially broke the system, and did not use it as designed, in order to do it in a better way.

I GIVE YOU MY HUMBLE SCANNING SUGGESTION:
A more fun way to scan: Scan once for a large area, and then report back with what you found like... Fire a Probe, it "scans" maybe 1/3 or so of the visible part of the planet, and a summary pops up with what you found.

You could even make it really satisfying, like un-scanned areas are red, and scanned areas are blue/green, so you get the satisfaction of turning all those red planets green.

That way the probes are actually probes. As they are right now... they're like, mining utensils or something. I guess "probe" rolls off the tongue better than "mining utensil."

2. LET ME TAKE MY HELMET ON/OFF MID MISSION!
That was the most annoying shit ever. I had to choose between either getting my negotiation bonus or health bonus, or drinking through a visor, making out with Liara through a visor... Ug. Would it be too hard to put a button in the Squad screen that says "Toggle Helmet?"

3. AMMO ABILITIES SHOULD NOT INVOKE GLOBAL COOLDOWNS
I don't understand why I have to wait to use my biotics when all I did was put different bullets in my gun.

4. FIX THE VANGUARD
Because you were so light weight, and you're so completely when you're out of cover in a fire fight, the *ONLY* time you can charge is when you have like one or two enemies left, at which point you can just as easily finish them off normally, making Charge completely useless.

On insanity I'm having some interesting one-on-one fights using charge against the bad ass Krogans, mechs, etc, but that is also because the Vanguard is such a featherweight pushover that he gets rocked as soon as he gets close to anything.

Here's a simple fix to the class: Give vanguards barrier. Remove the ungodly cooldown from barrier. BAM! You still need to be tactical, since charging into 10 guys is still going to get your barriers taken down. But now you don't die instantly every time you charge in the presence of more than 2 enemies.

5. MORE LEVELS
The game isn't as much fun when you're not leveling up. 30 is way too low for how fast you level up. I got to 28 on my first play through, and it really isn't abnormal to hit the 20s on any average playthrough.

6. LET ME RESPECC MY SQUADMATES
If I can retrain myself, why can't I fix my fuck-ups with my squad mates?

I felt like that whole romance played out like that:

Tali: Shepard, help me take this mask off.

Shepard: But you'll die!

Tali: Nothing can stop that now. Just for once, let me look on you with my own eyes.
