Rather then tell you about it...

Gotta say, I'm a big skeptic normally, but I'm liking what I see.
It looks deep, yet accessible.

It also seems squad mates might have their own karma meters.
A potentially interesting development...
Also, Karma meter is now condensed into 1. Wonder what this means...

Discuss away! :)

Edit: Pictures should be fixed now.
Couldn't get the original image with Sheperd to work.
But it seems he has more abilities then in Mass Effect 2. Cetainly double what Garrus and Liara have.

It's the same as ME2 but blue. I swore Shepard had more or the same in ME2 with Bonus powers. But they could change. Garrus kinda has a para/renegade meter. You can change him in ME1 and 2. I'm a bit skeptic, but it looks great.

I'm going to be quite concerned if 4chan is plastered all over Mass Effect 3. Although I have seen them and I thought it looked nice.

You know, I was wondering what you were saying, then I refreshed my page and found the images replaced with the 4chan logo...

Curses. I'll have to re-upload these myself.

Oh dear, have I been trolled? All I see is a couple of 4chan images.
Not a troll, for some reason the images only seem to show up have the time. Try refreshing maybe.
I'm gonna put them back up from a different source in a moment though :)

Yup. Abilities look the same to me, only thing to be excited about is "frag grenade". Which were in the first game, removed in the second, now they're back. Stepped back, then forward. Nothing new.

The screen itself looks nice though. I guess I'll wait to see what else is "new" about the other classes.

How do I make the actual screen appear? All I see is "4CHAN.ORG" written twice.
At the very least, where can I find a website with the picture?

Was checking /V/ out of curiosity and they already had the images up.
But it didn't seem to want to show up on the Escapist though. Had to re-upload them to imageshack. Darn technology.

It will be much the same, except with a few new abilities.

Also, the abilities will 'split' multiple times. Remember how in ME2 at the highest level of each ability, you had to choose two slightly different forms? (Usually one variant for area of effect and one for single targets.) Well, now that will happen several times with each ability instead of just once.

Why do they even bother at this point? Really it's more of a video game novel than an actual RPG.

Just give us a ton of pew pew and lots of dialog. o_O

I like it. It looks simpler than ME1, but more complex than ME2. A nice blend. this game is shaping up to be a worthy conclusion to the trilogy.

Hell, it might even be able to make it out of development without EA royally fucking it up!

Fingers crossed...

Doesn't seem very deep actually.
Well maybe for shephard, but it looks about the same for allies.

I never got the bitching about the stats in Me2.

Sure there were less numbers to fiddle with, but the number-reliance on ME1 just made it a bad shooter. It wasn't very 'RPG' to begin with.

At least ME2 was a better shooter - I'll happily sacrifice fiddling with stats in order to be able to shoot straight for half the game.

For some reason I couldn't get Shepard's power list image to work, but he looks to have more then in Mass Effect 2, but still less then the first game.
However, they do evolve.

Why is the Paragon Renegade on a single slider now? That could cause problems.
Agreed, though it could still be two bars merely stacked on top of one another to save space.
if it's one bar....by the maker....
That is just going to further encourage full Paragon/Renegade play throughs. Grey Morality be damned.

Someone already said, looks like ME2 but blue, well I'll put out another one. Looks like (the left bit anyway) Kotor.

Single karma metre? Really?

I remember dual metres being a selling point. Coz it makes sense. If you're generally nice, but do an evil thing, is shouldn't someone negate or balance a good thing you did. It should, and did, add to how much of a git you were. Invididual metres for companions....hmmm. Influence from Kotor2 methinks? Otherwise, well I don't need a metre to tell me what my companions are like, they have defined personalities, which granted have changed over time (see Liara in Shadow Broker) are still the same person.

So yeah, single karma metre, they've removed another unique feature. I was also sad to see they kept with ammo. I was hoping that they'd had some flash of sense and retconned back to the old system, coz it was unique and fit with their own lore. That change really did feel like a pandering to the console boys.

And while I'm at it, the new cover system, does sheperd rolling and diving all over the place make him look like a 7 year old boy playing "fighting" to anyone else too?

Overall still looking forward to this game but....still...tut tut.

maybe the karma slider means you can't just fill on fast then go the other way for the rest of the game. I went all nice-nice for a like half the game upgrade that karam boosters and was full. so I played a ass for the rest of the game with no punishment
