Of particular note:
At 2m10s, when speaking about Habitat 5, it mentions "For our Turian and Quarian colonists...", that strongly implies there will be some Quarians among the Milky Way refugees, a species whose presence in ME: Andromeda has hitherto remained unknown.
Wait, Quarian colonist??? Wasn't the entire point of the Quarian act in ME3 that there immune system was so shit at this point that it was impossible for them to recolonize any planets other than there own and that's why they went full derp and started a war over there planet while repear were invading. Now they can just colonize w/e planet?

Does EA want to retroactively ruins one of the few good part of ME3?
Christ, as someone who really got into the Mass Effect lore it's pretty fucking painful watching some of you people argue about it while getting it wrong at every turn.

(Not that the lore doesn't have a bunch of inconsistencies and contradictions of its own.)

This one at least is easy to clean up.

Quarians could live on any planet they like. Some of them do. They'd just have to wear their suits. The Quarians in ME3 wanted a planet that they could live on without the suits (and all the other shit they would need to keep everything super sterile) and only their native planet was suitable for that.

It's actually stated that they could colonize any old planet, but it would take multiple generations for them to fully adapt. They'd take decades to even adapt to their native planet.

So Quarians can run around Andromeda all they like, they just have to wear their suits and take the same precautions they do while running around the Milky Way.

Another thing I found mildly interesting was the scientific impossibility presented at 2m25s, where the narrator states, "This will be our first destination on arrival, 600 years from now" (with regard to Habitat 7). It is not possible for them to have this information prior to arriving in Andromeda, unless someone else travelled there 1,200 years prior to ME2, explored that galaxy, took all the photos and travelled back again to arrive in time to tell them what to expect. Which is also impossible since the races weren't spacefaring by then, didn't know the Reapers existed (and so had no reason to search other galaxies for suitable new homes), and so on. It's an absurd mistake, but whatever, marketing don't give a damn. :)
One word: Proteans.

Here's 17 minutes of some of the worst casual dialogue you'll hear in modern gaming:

That is just cringeworthy. Is it meant to appeal to 13 year olds?
The game looks absolutely terrible and terrible each time i watch new video. Mass effect series is just pew pew pew cover to cover third person shooter and are basially gears of war clone with dialouge system except gears of war has better gameplay.

this will be another overrated game that will get 9s and 10s.

So, Bioware has artists and animators right? If so, can I ask something?

What the crap are they doing over there!?

Edit, found another good one. If this doesn't become a meme I'll be a sad Khornite.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the game. So much of what I hear about it seems to be about the romance system which really makes the game sound shallow or the devs are trying to hide something. Otherwise it sounds like this game is just a singles cruise in space where sometimes shooting happens.

I'd say that because there seems to be a heavy focus on being spoiler free. They show us the ship, the nexus, core combat, companion loyalty missions, core planets. But nothing about the driving story has been shown.

Female walking animation or "female walking animation?" Watching Miranda walking around in 2/3 was fucking painful despite how "sexy" it was supposed to be.

The nitpicking on this game, or any Bioware game, is so weird.
Still a lot of bitterness from ME3 curbing optimism I guess. Also Bioware has lost a lot of what made it the amazing company it used to be since a lot of core staff jumped ship which also doesn't help. And to add the biggest selling point I've seen out of casually reading about this game so far is that its gonna be like "softcore porn" regarding dialogue or romances or whatever....and that's not really what people play Mass Effect for.

Overall I'm considering grabbing it, but I'll wait for reviews, if its on the same level as Inquisition in terms of quality then I might skip, that game was pretty soulless for me. If Bioware hits it out of the ballpark though (and I hope they do!) then I'll definitely grab it.

The softcore porn comment was an off-hand comment from a dev that was torn apart and spread around by fans, haters, and various media sources.
It's not an official selling point.

And people play the games for different reasons, and multiple ones.
I, for one, partially play the games for romances. I like to see them play out.

I don't deny there are some problems with some footage we've seen, but there's also a lot of misinformation going around. And exaggerations.

By the way, I love how out of ALL THE FUCKING THINGS they could have copied from the Witcher 3, they chose the worst bit. Heres a tip Bioware: CDProjekt didn't get all that critical acclaim for the witcher senses.

It really takes a special kind of... I don't know, arrogance, stupidity? To look at the Witcher 3, ask "What can we take from this?" and decide to copy paste the hold down button to highlight mission objectives mechanic. Fuck.
TW3 was far from the first to implement that "detective vision" mechanic.

From all the different media snippets and released information, that isn't actually the takeaway from TW3 BioWare made. This article [http://www.pcgamer.com/mass-effect-andromeda-will-have-meaningful-sidequests-akin-to-the-witcher-says-game-producer/] goes into more detail, but in short, the inspiration they took from TW3 was to make more "meaningful" side quests. To quote:
Andromeda said:
"We are approaching the completionist aspect very differently, because we've done and learned a lot from Inquisition," Condominas says. "But we've also observed what other games have been doing, like The Witcher."

Condominas continues, stressing that bigger isn't always better in that sidequests must be "meaningful" in order to be impactful?something The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in particular carried off particularly well. "And it was very important for us that the quantity of scope doesn't downgrade the quality of whatever your are doing there."

That was one of my biggest gripes with ME3. It really harmed immersion when Shepard pulled out a gun he didn't even have equipped. I was also really sad that there was nothing in any of the games except for two lines of dialogue from Liara [https://youtu.be/xztmf2IcvMM?t=162] during the project/capsule scene that acknowledged Shepard's class or abilities in any way. No matter how we played, Shepard always pulled out an Avenger/Pistol, even if they weren't equipped, and dealt with everything the same way. Missed. Opportunity.

it was annoying because in some cutscenes you carried the right weapon but letting the glitch carry over for the rest of the series was bad design and QA
