I was born the year Star Wars came out. Its my childhood too! Actually I used to own hundreds of the original figures and vehicles... they were sadly lost as the years passed.

I, for one, hope they retell the game. I'm tired of stupid people pulling crap based on some ridiculous notion that we don't want to see the game we love, we want to see some random story in the same universe, or a story with similar elements to the game it's based on. I'm looking squarely at you, Prince of Persia.

Quoted for truth. The original Star Wars trilogy, in my humble opinion, contains the three best films that have ever been and will ever be made.

The prequels don't count.

Also, I'm still staring at Prince of Persia. It's a cold, frightening glare.

I really hope they don't do it based on the games' main storylines. As i said on the Bioware forum, they should do the First Contact War or the Rachni War/Krogan rebellion. Of course coming up with something new wouldn't hurt either as long as it isn't stupid.

Although I don't fully agree with you, Dragon Age: Origins is overrated. I do like my games being huge timesinks and that game definitely is one.

I thought that the first Mass Effect (haven't played the second game, yet) had a great story, and I hope that the movie is about the same thing.

Well he is already an actor, so there really isn't a reason to not cast him as joker, but who knows.

The Silent Hill film was good if you didn't look too closely at it. I understand the sentiment though.

I thought it was a good movie, but they should have kept it the way the game went. Not replace the lead with a female and blah blah blah.

Tried getting into ME1 on the 360, never quite did, and never bothered playing ME2 on the PC....

I hope this turns out to actually be a really good movie, and they stay true to the game, and don't completly screw it up. But most likely it will be sadly a fail movie or won't even end up happening just like when there was supposed to be a Halo movie.

OP: The caps in your title imply that this is good news. It is not. Video games and movies should be kept in separate rooms, lest they cross contaminate each other with their shittiness. I don't want my favorite game ruined with what will undoubtedly be a disappointing movie (looking at you, Prince of Persia, Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark, Dungeon Siege, Bloodrayne...)
