David was getting bored with targets, he needed to go do something. Finishing the current thermal clip and loading a new one, he collapsed his M-6 and made ready to leave the range.

"By any chance are there any VI training simulators nearby? Made a game out of those back in C-Sec."

Brushing past the turian, he shook his head. "I know the boss said I gotta play nice and all, but shit. A turian and a C-Sec officer...the universe sure isn't making it easy to like you." Clearing the range, he retrieved some stuff he?d left in the armoury before heading for the front door. Mmm, a varren skewer would really hit the spot right now.Hitting the street he made his way to a nearby food vendor and bought one of the greasy things before sitting on a discarded crate across from the bases entrance.

"Yeah, can definitely tell you're from the Citadel, target shooting not good enough for you? Not fancy, but it's cheap."

"Oh no, Target shooting is perfectily find. But I noticed that hostiles don't stay still. VIstend to spice things up a little."

Raising his weapon to aim and pulling the trigger, David brushed up against him and threw his aim off.

"I know the boss said I gotta play nice and all, but shit. A turian and a C-Sec officer...the universe sure isn't making it easy to like you."

Watching as he left, Galus turned to Brooks, "Do you think Verahl would mind if I shoot out his knees? I don't think he'll mind if I do."

Brooks:

"I saw it all commander," replied Brooks sarcastically. "His rifle discharged and shot not just one, but both of his kneecaps. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it personally."

Brooks let off another burst, keeping his focus on the target but still keeping the conversation flowing.

"So why you come to Omega anyways? Got sick of the politics or something?"

Verahl:

"The Lancers and Spartans are both joining us on this?" Verahl repeated as he paced along the window of the office. His conversation with Vovdeen had changed from simply arranging an arms deal to something far more sinister. "No, I don't trust them. One's just as bad as the 4-6, and the other's little more then aimless Blood Pack. All I'm saying is keep security tight, we all meet there I wouldn't put it past either to attempt to take us out at the same time."

Verahl then stopped at Vovdeen's response.

"Already? No, I'm not surprised, just had hoped there'd be a little more time to contain it before she became involved," Verahl said in an annoyed hiss. "We'll mobilize immediately, ETA half of an hour. Just ensure that it's secured before their arrival. If anything goes wrong, I want the advantage."

Verahl closed his Comm Channel with Vovdeen before turning around to Lux and Raven. Both were waiting for his briefing but time was of the essence. He'd give them the run down after addressing the company. Opening his Omni-Tool, he opened his Comm's once more to broadcast to the entire company.

"In the last 10 minutes, reports have just come in of a resurgence of A3N9, otherwise known as the plague from a couple months back," announced Verahl to the company. "In the next 10 minutes, I want each of you with arms and armour. It's airborne, so take notes from the Quarians and make sure that each of your suits are completely seeled. We're to set up a quarantine to ensure that it does not spread to any other districts. Darun is already working to have shipments of the cure dispatched to us, but we do not know how long it will take to arrive or how many infected we will be dealing with so initial effectiveness is unknown. From what we can tell though, at the moment it is fairly centralized so we have to act quickly. Now, get everything you need, the Razor and Gauntlet are readying for take off."

"Shit," Lux said as he pushed himself away from the wall he was leaning against. "Least your squishy little ass is immune to this Raven."

Things sure move fast around here, Kyra thought to herself after hearing the orders. Welp, back to the armory then.

Once there, she grabbed her armor, rifles and her sidearm, as well as ammo and her airdrop gear, and headed to the Gauntlet.

."Well, my story is similiar to many other Turians. Went through my manditory millitary service and then got invited to C-Sec shortly after my part in taking down a..."

Before he could continue his tale, Galus was interupted by the announcement of the plauge.

"Guess I'll finish this tale later. Looks like we have some work to do. Weren't the Vorcha responsible for releasing it in the first case?"

Shit, shit shit! thought Preven, frantically rushing to the armoury. Though aware that the plague wasn't here yet, due to it's airborne nature, Preven figured the plague could get in the base at any moment.

Upon reaching the armoury, Preven hurriedly put on his armour, doing a quick check to make sure it was sealed once it was on. Letting out a breath in relief when it was, Preven grabbed his weapons and ammo, before making his way down to where the ships were.

Sal sighed as she put the finishing touches on her suit. It was nice to get out of it every now and then, even if she was confined to one room. She wiped a hand across her forehead and smiled. The new colors and blended in perfect with her suit. At that point she received the company message.

"What! I thought that had been eradicated! Damnit!" She mumbled to herself as she hurried to put back on her suit. Within a minute she was once again encased. "Paladin," She said over the comm. "I'm fine right now, but I need to get back to the club and check everyone's seal's now. No time to wait." She said rushing out of the ship and back towards Aegis.

Sitting against the wall, David was just relaxing when his omni-tool chirped. "Oh what now..." He grumbled, turning the device on. The sour look on his face from being disturbed quickly vanished as he heard Verahl's message. "Fuck me!" He said, dashing back into the base.

Flying down the stairs, he made it to the armoury in moments. David hadn't been on Omega during the original outbreak, but he had heard the reports and seen vids of the affected areas...he did not need this shit. Getting into his armour as quickly as he could, he grabbed his SMG and headed for the ships, doing a self-diagnostic on his suit seals along the way.

Knox was just about to fire at another target when his Onmi-Tool flashed the message, and he sighed when he saw what it was about.
"Not that shit again..."
He then went off to his bunk and fished his helmet out of his things and made sure it was sealed. Then he went off to join the others at the ship.
"Fuck..." he said mainly to himself, but out loud in general "I guess I gotta stick to this old think for another mission..."

Ethan looked up as Jeeves appeared, projected behind him,"Sir, a message from your employer," the comm was sent to the small display on the work desk. He looked over the message, naturally someone kept samples for study, too bad they didn't keep them more secure. Good thing I just worked on my armor, he thought to himself, it should be well sealed, and hell if it's not, that disease isn't contagious and I'm immune.

He had been working on disassembling, cleaning and reassembling his weapons, he was in the middle of working on his set of spares, a few assault rifles and pistols held in the cargo bay in the event of an emergency. The gun was on the last steps of repair anyway so he simply repacked the gun and left it on the table.

Right around then he heard Sal's voice coming over the comm from inside the clean room he pressed the button to respond, just in time to see her running out of the clean room, past him and out the door. So he simply waved and stood to get his armor on.

A short time later he was in full armor, he strapped on his helmet and sealed the mouthpiece, then ran his suit diagnostics, a brief internal scan revealed that the armor was vacuum ready. If it would let him survive in space then it was as sealed as it could be. He packed up his guns and connected them to his armor and jogged over to Aegis.

Verahl:

"Move your asses!" Verahl yelled from the door as Ethan and Sal scrambled across the helipad, the last two to climb aboard the Gauntlet, with the doors closing before they were even fully through. "Punch it!"

Kryxus didn't even wait for the order. Both the Gauntlet and Razor shot into the streets as quick as they could, with enough force to stumble anyone that wasn't strapped in or having a decent grip.

"Keep a close eye on her," Verahl said over his Comm to Raven in the Razor. "Karnak has been told the same. She acts out, put her in her place immediately."

"Got it boss," Raven said as he looked down to the end of the Razor. Serina was seated at the end, with Karnak sitting opposite her, his contempt for her obvious.

----------------------------------------

Soon enough, the two ships were coming in to land. When the doors open, the members of Aegis disembarked, finding themselves in the middle of a garage. It was a cab depot on the edge of the infected district. All the cabbies had either cleared out upon news of the outbreak or scrambling to help in any way possible, leaving the place for their use.

The ships that had been parked nearby theirs had mechanics swarming all over. A variety of quick modifications and repairs were being done on almost each of the crafts, from quickly attempting to install air pumps and filters or trying to strapping tanks of oxygen inside for mercenaries to fill their tanks in the field if need be. Keith had joined the rest of the company on the trip for this exact purpose, and could already be seen making his way through the chaos yelling at someone nearby for what he needed for each ship.

Verahl strolled ahead through the crowd towards the office, with Raven and Lux following in step behind him. When he reached them, he could already hear Vovdeen yelling at someone within.

"You'd be risking the security of the quarantine!" he snapped as he stood over a map of the district projected onto the table in front of him.

"You take the same risk by keeping that quarantine up longer, my men are ready to go in now, we send them in, we have a better idea of what caused this," responded Isaac Dorian, leader of the Spartans. The Spartans were a mostly human outfit that controlled one of the neighbouring districts. However, several Krogan had joined them since the Blood Pack's crippling on Omega.

"Ah, it appears the final member of this council finally arrives," Nyras said as he approached Verahl. Nyras lead the Palaven Lancers, the ones who controlled the district. The Lancers were a rogue platoon of Turian soldiers that had decided that the military didn't reward them enough for their services. "About damn time."

Verahl ignored the taunting; time was of the essence as he approached Vovdeen by the map, getting a report on the situation. The plague had been spreading quickly throughout the district but was still manageable. They all needed to ensure it stayed that way or else the contamination might spread further than this minor outbreak.

Serina saw the look on Karnak's face, a look she was all too familiar with, a mix of distrust and something approaching hate.

She had been given back her armor and was sitting in the Razor, her helmet locked and sealed to protect her against the virus. She couldn't help but smile a bit at the Batarian's facial expression, they all looked strange when they were angry to her.

She got out of the Razor when they approached their destination, Karnak keeping close to her as she exited. She looked around and saw members of various merc groups, she looked around and easily found David and various other humans she had on her list, not that she'd be acting on those feelings just yet.

Whatever they had been called here for, she planned to do her job, get paid, and get out of the cell. She leaned against one of the walls near the two ships. Waiting for orders.

Before disembarking, Galus doubled checked that his suit was properly sealed. Satisfied, he exited the aircraft and began patroling the outside the garage, watching windows and the roofs for any possible ambushers.

While on patrol, Galus couldn't help but noticed that he was being watched. A sickly Batarian adolescent was hiding behind a dumpster, just watching the metal people march around. With wide eyed amusement, the young Batarian didn't see one of the Palavin Lancers come up and kick, yelling at him to get the hell out of here. As the Batarian scampered off, Galus had to refrain himself attacking the Turian. Can't have a shoot-out with their allies with a plague on the loose.

"I hate this fucking rock."

Knox looked around when they landed, trying to see if there was any clue as to what could've caused the virus to return. Finding nothing, he sighed heavily, and made sure his suit wasn't able to be breached. He didn't want to risk being a carrier that would wipe out half of his company.

He then cracked his neck, back and knuckles, made sure his gun was loaded and ready, and went to flipping his lighter.

"Think it was the Vorcha again?" he asked aloud, to no one in particular.

Kyra exited the Gauntlet after ensuring her suit was sealed. Everything checked out, so she headed toward the rest of Aegis, readying her weapons along the way.

"Well, I suppose stopping a plague is one way to get back in the saddle..." She said to herself.

"Think it was the Vorcha again?"

"Probably" David replied, stopping beside Knox. "They'd be 'bout the only one dumb enough to pull that shit." Checking his guns for the umpteenth time he sighed inside his helmet. Calm down David, you know the boss is just getting his shit squared away...Fuck I hate waiting. "So" He said racking his brain for the man's name, he'd made a point to try and memorize the employee roster before he'd started. "Mordecai was it? Where you on Omega during the last outbreak? I was on an escort gig, and only got bit and pieces of what happened over the extranet."

Brooks:

"Vorcha were never smart enough for that sort of thing," Brooks said as he walked down the ramp of the Gauntlet with a large oxygen tank held over his shoulder. He quickly looked around, checking to see if Esten was nearby. "I'm betting STG or something, trying to remove the capital of Omega or something. If it worked, it'd have wiped out the station, if it didn't, might spark a race war or something. Good thing it was snuffed out in time."

Rook was following behind him carrying another tank, but stopped after Brooks was finished.

"Brooks, do you even listen to yourself half the time?" he teased as he shook his head and began walking again. "Hear more accurate facts in the Galactic Enquirer."

"I'm telling ya," answered Brooks, turning slightly to face the Turian behind him. ?You?d be surprised how many secrets they keep. What they really don?t want you to know and all.?

Rook just shook his head, muttering something beneath his breath as he nudged Brooks with his foot.

?Yeah, yeah, just keep walking. Stockpiles aren't going to build themselves.?

Lee:

"Bright side, least we're immune to it," responded Lee. He was seated on some boxes in front of Kyra, rummaging through the contents of a couple packs rested beside him. "Wouldn't want your medic coughing into your face while he's trying to stop you from bleeding to death now, would you?"

Muttering to himself, he stopped looking through his pack and moved onto the other, before smiling and grabbing a small box of latex gloves and tossing them back into his.

?Medi-gel might be all purpose,? he spoke as he closed the zipper on his pack. ?But applying it can make a hell of a mess.?
