Yossar turned to Esten, "I guess we make sure there are no squatters and undesirables, abandoned military bases are magnets for gangs, thugs, and other low lifes. It's a good idea to clean them out once and a while. I guess we can also take a look at damages, see what Verahl needs to prepare to fix when we return. Besides that I suppose make sure the place is still secure." Yossar listed off some things he remembered doing in past situations like this.

"Thats what I'm talking about, enough tech gear so that we can get Sal working on the Pack surveillance" replied Ocara as he cracked the joints in his neck and flexed his fingers in preparation for any problems that may present themselves in the near future.

"So Raven, shall me an Esten go a'lookin for hidey spots, to hole up in and cover you guys from? Because I don't know about Esten but in a close up fight, my Nag ain't much and I doubt my pistol or knives would be much good"

Sal nodded, "Yeah, we can. C'mon let's go get a cab." She said standing up. "It'll be a little longer but I don't think the others will mind." She said leading Dray towards the cabs.

Basara lifted Zar's body with ease. "Santius, you're in charge if we need delicacy. yes, you suck at diplomacy, but I'm a little... heavy handed myself." Basara grinned at his joke. He frowned at the situation. "Here, want me to take her? this grip is somewhat awkward. I'm afraid I'm actually gonna drop her, and if I try and get a better grip there's a good chance that I stab her."

Ugh... Sorry if I'm not to active tonight. I just got my report card today, and I'm quite disappointed with it. Please excuse the fact that I'm now really not in the best mind set for RPing.

Basara and Santius carefully lifted Zar's body up the stairs and into the lobby of the building. The lobby was rather well lit and decorated. A number of chairs lined the wall, occasionally with end table stacked with magazines breaking them. Soft music could be heard in the background as well. The floors and walls both seemed to shine a pure white, with two blue lines running parallel down it, reminiscent of the sterility found in a hospital. Everything seemed as though it had been carefully cleaned and polished to remove all dirt from it, and to keep it as clean as possible.

In the centre of the lobby, sat a large blue desk, with an Asari sitting in the chair behind it. She was speaking to Moloa in a soft, comforting voice, while Moloa sounded as though she wanted to have this done as quick as possible so it could be over with as quickly as possible. When the secretary noticed their presence, she got up from her seat.

"Hello, that must be her correct? Well, please follow me to the storage area down the hall. We will place her there for the time being and then work out the details regarding the destination."

The secretary got up and started to walk down the hall. As they walked away from the lobby, the music seemed to fade. The only thing that could be heard now were the steps the Asari took as her boots walked along the tile floor, and the occasional murmur of conversation coming from one of the offices. Maybe it was the association that this place had with the dead, but merely being there, standing in the halls, sent unnatural and eerie chills up each company member's back.

Raven turned to Ocara and Esten, "Keep us covered from an overhead position and watch your asses. We don't need anyone getting snuck up on while we are here." Looking into the general direction of their old base he continued. "Keep a constant eye out for anything unusual while we make the initial recon." I hope the others missions are off to a good start.

Esten nodded then tapped Ocara's shoulder.

"Move out," he said and indicated for him to follow. Ocara and Esten walked down the street towards their old base. Once close enough to see it, they ducked into one of the several alleys lying near it. After a few minutes attempting to climb fire escapes and jump the fences and walls surrounding them, they were finally able to make it onto the rooftop of a nearby store. From their position, they had a clear view on the entrance to the headquarters, one of the alleys, and part of one of the rear parking lots. They could see no one standing around the perimeter.

"All clear," Esten said over the comm.

With that, the rest of the company walked out onto the streets, and headed towards the enterance of their old base.

Moloa didn't respond to Santius's comments. Though she felt just as wrong for being there as him, she was not in the mood to make a joke or anything about it.

This is a place for the dead. She thought to herself. Can't he at least show some damn respect here?

They finally stopped near the end of the hallway. It seemed to be much longer, and have taken much more time then it actually did. The Asari secretary paused for a moment in front of a large steel door, indistinguishable from the several others they had passed while walking down. She stood to its side and punched a code into the nearby terminal. The door opened slowly, as the loud sound of it being slid away from its normal resting place could be heard. The cold hit the company by surprise, as mist started to pour out of the now clear doorway. Inside, several shelving structures could be seen, a few of which held bags not that different from the ones Basara and Santius were carrying.

"Please place her on the rack farthest from the door," the secretary said. "We will add the correct identification tags to her once we've finished the transaction. From there, it will be our responsibility."

Dray:

Dray seemed to be able to pull himself together easier now. His speech become much more solid, and he resumed his normal posture once again. He sat quiet for another minute before getting up and turning to look back at Sal. A small smile passed his face.

"Thank you," he whispered back to her.

They waited around a few more minutes until the cab they called for was seen pulling up nearby. They boarded it and instructed thhe driver on its location. The traffic towards that headed towards the lower parts of the station wasn't so bad at this time of day. Most of the workers on the lower sections had jobs down there, working in factories or other areas. Few had business near the top. The opposite was true. It was funny that a person could find their place in Omega's society, normally by checking how close to the peak of the station they were.

After a while spent in the cab, it touched down near the markets of the old base. They got out as Sal stopped to pay the driver. Dray looked around the familiar landscape. Everything was were it should be. The shops still stood in their respective spots, some of the owners could be seen doing a few of their morning routines, and everything was as it should be. The most comforting part to Dray was the smell. The auromas of all the different shops lingered in the area as though they had been mixed together. Most markets in Omega sold primarily food. It was the only thing in a constant demand by the people. As Dray tried to absorb the familiarity, he could smell freshly cut meat coming from the local Batarian butcher, and pastries and other sweets coming from the closest local baker. Dray was excited to be home. Even though it had only been a few days since he had last been in them, he was happy to return to them once more.

Just need to get myself some time away from Sal now. He thought to himself. His gaze now fell to the only Clinic that stood in the market. Only a few minutes.

Moloa nodded at Santius. She then turned away from him to face where Zar now lay. She lowered her head and closed her eyes, trying to pay her final respects to her, even though they were not nearly good enough. She slowly raised her head back up, and turned to the secretary. The secretary ushered them out of the freezer room, and back into the warmer hall. Each turned to look behind them, as the door slowly fell back in its original place. When the door's movement finally ceased, and the hall fell quiet once again, it remained that way for a brief moment. The secretary however rudely interupted the peace, by trying to get back to business.

"Now, where did you say you needed that sent again?" her voice now ringing false and cheery, like a salesman trying to weasel a sale.

"Illium," Moloa hissed, ready to snap on the secretary if she continued to pester them.

"Right, well, is there a specific---"

Before the secretary could finish, Moloa threw the envelope at her. The Asari stood rather bewildered by Moloa, as Moloa turned to walk away.

"Everything you need is in there. Address, how she should be sent, and most importantly to you I'm sure, where to send the bill. Ship the letter with her as well, or else my boss will be coming back to leave only the foundations of this building left."

Moloa was now storming out of the lobby towards the Gauntlet. The secretary was left standing rather puzzled in the hall, as she looked through the envelops contents.

By the time Santius returned, Moloa was already sitting in her normal seat, staring at the body of Xandus laying across from her. Santius's foot steps were the only thing to break her concentration on it, when she finally heard him climbing the ramp and approaching.

"Let's just get this over with ok? Then we can go back to the penthouse, and deal with whatever comes up next," her voice was broken, no longer carrying the happy will to live it normally held. Right now it sounded shattered and broken, as if it had given up.

"Alright let's start." Yossar unclipped his SMG and walked to the front door. He pressed his body next to the door frame and pushed the door open with a biotic throw, he peaked his head inside and took a look inside. All clear, just need to check. He send out a light biotic shockwave across the entire reception hall. It rattled the chairs, shook the tables, and disturbed all bits of trash that had accumulated on the ground. Yossar waited, nothing happened.

"Lobby is clear, no one decided to leave us any traps." He said walking inside.

Lux followed Yossar in, but paused when he entered the lobby. He turned to a console nearby, and turned the lights on so they might see better, but stopped when he turned around. He was caught off guard when he realized the puddle of Zar's blood was still on the floor by her desk. His jaw fell open a bit as he seemed to have forgotten the brutality they had left behind.

"Sit down and shut it," responded Moloa, the ferocity and hostility present in her voice.

She didn't want to get into some touchy feely conversation with Santius. It would only serve to harm her in the end. No, she needed to be tough. If she wasn't, she'd lose the respect she had earned from them. She didn't want to be seen as either a woman or an Asari to the rest of the group. She felt if she showed weakness, they'd start to treat her like she was fragile or delicate.

"Something smells," Yossar mentioned, sniffing the air, realizing that was the lingering stench of a dead flesh He jumped over the desk and opened up the receptionist terminal. He typed a few times to try and open up some files.

"Lux, I'm trying to see if I can see what other terminals are running around here, but I'm getting blocked by a password, do you have any idea what it may have been?"
