Mass Effect: Worth $10? (Yes... US Dollars, not Euro's nor Pounds, United States legal tender...)

I hated the game until I found out how to uninstall Securom... I thought it was only worth one play through though, KOTOR is the best thing Bioware has done so far.

If you want to play this game DO NOT GET THE PC VERSION UNLESS YOU WANT TO INSTALL IT 10 TIMES BECAUSE EA GAMES IS FUCKING RETARDED. Unless you're getting it off of Steam. Steam doesn't have any fuck-you-rom.

It's funny, I have a fair few friends who just can't stand it, and they're not *particularly* against western RPGs, though they're not particularly into them either unless they have co-op. (I'm looking at you Dragon Age - spiritual successor to balder's gate my ass, not that i don't like you).

I on the other hand loved it. Combat was a little repetitive. Running around on the stupid side mission planets was boring as hell. But even still; nice storytelling, nice characters, nice immersion. Some (rare) moments with actually grey areas for morality. All that made up for it.

It was more than worth the original retail of $60. $10 is a steal and you'd be stupid to not buy it immediately

If the shooting bits had lived up to the speaking bits then it would have been a stone-cold classic. As it is, it's worth 10 of your strange currency any day of the week, if only because the plot is so absorbing and the characters so convincing.
