Am I the only one to list this under Fail?
Nope, I'm of the opinion that anyone who'd spend that kind of scratch on a Master Chief costume is an idiot.

I'm not sure if this is a positive step forward into societal acceptance or a devastating jump back into outcast-land for the gaming community...

For that price, you'd think they'd bother to include exchangeable armor pieces, like Scout/Hayabusa/etc.

But that's just me.

Well, it's nicely done, but that's about all I can give it. Even if I were a Halo fan, I'd only consider buy it if it came down to budget price. And they threw in another, better, (Ratchets Terraflux, perhaps?) piece of armor. And some cake. And Belgium.

And even if it were reasonable, say, $100-200, I'd rather then spend that money getting a Wii or an XBox. Or even a PSP.

Not that I'm dissing it, but you'd have to be a pretty big (and wealthy. Don't forget wealthy!) nerd to get that. I qualify in the nerd department, but I'm neither rich, nor do I care for Halo or that stoic, emotionless (which I blame on the voice actors) Master Chief (and I don't see how he's more badass than any other FPS player character, anyway)

I'd have to say that for every badass point Master Chief has, somebody would have to have at least that many negative badass points to buy it. And at that point, why bother? It's not like those kinds of people ever leave the basement anyways.

This, I can afford.

I just looked around that site and noticed that the only costumes for women require them to be slutty. It's good to be male.
Was I the only one that just HAD to make sure all the women's costumes were slutty as soon as I read this?

Looks cool, but I'd rather have the deluxe Boba Fett or Stormtrooper costume.

I could make (with my knight's help) a suit of real steel and leather armor that would qualify for use in live steel reinactment dueling for a little less than the cost of that Halo costume. I'm a member of the Adrian Empire (a little like the better known SCA only our combat rules are quite different and we use real steel swords and other weapons instead of ratan canes), so I'd spend my money on a suit of armor (and stop having to borrow my knight's armor) instead of getting a costume like the ones on the site. Some of them do look really cool though.

This reminds me of some guy who went to a football(soccer) game wearing one of those. It was funny, but a lot of people are passionate enough to do it.

...wow...looking at the ones for like...48 euros...they look terrible! There's one for like 200$ that is like...okay, but I think you'd be better off buying a cheap Boba Fett costume and painting it Mjolnir Green color.

If a guy does show up to a Halloween party I go to that night...I will be sure to challenge him to a fight (ninja vs. spartan...who wouldn't watch that)!
