Mature 17+ means 18+ now?

Just put in a different birthday?
Does anybody actually bother putting their real birthday in those things? I just scroll and click. It takes too much time to actually put in my date of birth.

I was born 01.01.1901, and there's not a damn thing you can do to prove me a liar.

We can't sell R rated movies or M rated games to 17 year olds where I work. Even though the R and M rating are both 17+, you still have to be 18 to buy them here.

Just as stupid if you ask me.

In the UK its always been 18+.

The Escapist is a quite big site so they have to these kind of things. As for the age limit of 18, they have to draw the line somewhere I suppose and just call that the maturity checkpoint because there´s no real way of telling how mature someone is.
