I really liked the lighting effects in madbird's and it was a tough decision, but my vote goes to Merivale.

This is a very hard decision. Blocks has a lot of simple details, and purveys a lot of atmosphere. Entry gives me more than just the image before me; a mental image to supplement it, and I automatically begin to paint a story in my head. Requiem had one of the best audio-video timing I have seen in a short film. Music Of the Night was beautiful and well done for the most part. But I can just vote for one, can't I?

Entry or Music Of the Night... I'll go with Entry by Fightgarr. Don't know if that's actually its name, but it doesn't matter.

It actually appealed to my thoughts on the motif more then the others.
Ignoring that however it'd still be in my top two or three, but i'm not sure what other ones would be there too.

Why, as users, did none of you submit your own artworks?
The answer is of course:
We are judges.

If we submitted works we'd be biased because they're our own works. Voting in the finals is based purely on personal preference of merit (I hope it's of artistic merit, you bastards) instead of "ohh! I did it!" The other issue is that judges hold more power when deciding finalists than users do in the finals. A judge with their own artwork could vote for it to go into the finals due to bias, making it unfair.

By the way, judging closes tonight.

Well I did have a post lined up with my vote, along with why I liked and disliked certain entries, but this computer borked because it's a piece of rubbish and I lost it all. Short version: I vote Pi_Fighter for a very nicely set up shot, good use of scale and because I like green.
