Probably not but these are my thoughts.
Recently I have been reading articles about the school shooter game or killing in games like does it bother you to have to kill certain people or races and whatnot but how many have us have played GTA and went on cop and civilians sprees and didn't think twice about it? Or even have a non lethal option in there because I think why should you have to kill all the guards or "bad guys" just because they believe in something different than your guy/girl, but all this got me thinking. Would it be better if say you had your main protagonist in an action/adventure game where you could pick different skin colors, accents, clothes style but all other movement actions stay the same then maybe later have what your guy/girl motives are and pick what type of guns they like to use and could be run and gun or stealh type at anytime. Now as for your "enemies" and main antagonist you have the same options to choose for them except for the last two options I said for the protagonist you can change. Would you want to play this kind of game or do you think it works out on "paper" but would be a mess trying to play a game like this? Feel free to add any ideas or genres you think i missed.
