I don't do the whole "You need to put on some clothes" thing.

Looking at that Harley drawing, I would say "can the drawer stop pandering to me in such a trashy fashion?".
I don't like the whole corset and miniskirt thing. I want smooth, accentuated curves.

IDK, a bunch of girls dressed in gap clothes sounds fucking boring. I could just walk to the mall to see that.

I like me some scantily clad women in my games. Where else can I see a woman in nothing but a thong and a steel breastplate. lol

Boobs.

Basically this is what I am thinking too. I wonder how many times he had to clean the spluge off his drawling board.

*Shrug* I don't know. Thanks to internet and video games, nudity and violence don't have the shock and awe power that they seem to have over society: Nudity is just the human body, why the fucking hell, should we be uncomfortable with that, for either sexes? Maybe because of the vulnerability we associate with sex and being naked? I don't know.

If your enemy can kill you in one shot anyway, why not look sexy doing it?

That, and skin sells things very well, cause it looks nice.
That there says it all. Literally no other point is important, because of that. It has been found that the subconscious reacts to sensual images before the conscious mind even recognises what it is seeing. So you know it looks nice before you even know what it is.

the amount of skin visible is directly proportional to the amount of nerd fan love and as such to plot armor.
why not use that?

Frankly I actually agree with you. Not because it's like "AAAH FLESH SO UNHOLY", it's nothing like that. Frankly, it just kills the immersion and willing suspension of disbelief half the time. And often, the reasons for this are so poorly written in and stupid that it just detracts from the narrative. Like you, I enjoy me the female body, but frankly, there's a time and place for everything. Is it OK to have scantily clad ladies in my movies and games? Of course! But only when it makes sense for the story. The sexytime should be a result of the narrative, the narrative should not a result of the sexytime (well, there's a time and place for THAT to, but...)

Actually, all I can think looking at this pic is "When did Harley get transported to Stars Wars so she could pick up that Battle Droid and Cannok?"

LOL

but yea, stuff like that always sells and as at least a couple people pointed out, adding just clothes wont protect you from bullets, and if you can one shot your enemies, why not look good doing it? :p

It annoys me a bit in RPGs and such if all the armor is like that. I actually prefer the female wearing a full suit of armor, not something that would never protect anything.

Meh, I just think it looks silly when they're fighting alongside men dressed in heavy armour, either dress the women up or strip the men, whatever makes it look even 'sides us gays need fanservice too :(

I agree really. Perhaps something to do with the overly sexual world we live in? One maybe comes de-aroused (?) to such things because it tends to be constantly thrown at us. I found Alex from Half Life 2 more endearing because she is a strong female character that didn't need to take her clothes at every opportunity.

Jack from ME2 is quite the pet peeve with me. I believe it was on the Geth planet with the atmosphere issue: couldn't stay in the sun too long or something. There is Jack, practically naked from the waste up, just walking along as you do, fighting robots, with nipple tape and suspenders!

Our ideas on modesty and body-image are pretty unhealthy and actually pretty silly.

There's strength in being practically nude and not caring.

The hair is the only thing that makes that costume slightly tolerable and harlequin. Still dumb overall IMO.
