Quite a bit of Spanish speakers near me. Also a lot of eastern Europeans. Also there's a lot of Japanese kids at my school.

I don't know any of those languages, but I am in 3rd year Latin.

1. Yes; Malaysia
2. Yes
3. Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Malay

I speak Cantonese in my family and learnt the other 3 languages during primary school. I moved to England for secondary and college which helps in improving my English tad bit. They taught me French too but I forgot how to speak it because there aren?t many chances for me to use it. I'm actually considering picking up French again since my girlfriend is French Chinese.

I want to learn either Deutsche or Norsk. They are relatively similar to English, are great societies, have intelligent people...and I can attend metal concerts. Sounds shallow, seriously speaking, but I have immense respect for these cultures.

1. No.
2. No.
3. No.

I refuse to learn Spanish on my own soil, regardless of the amount of people who speak it or don't speak it. The USA has had such a direct impact on the world that many countries, namely Israel, Germany, Sweden, etc, have decided to teach English as a second language to help their children succeed. Why should I not expect the illegal alien population to do the same? The only way I would even begin contemplating it is if I wanted to check out Argentina, Chile, Peru, or Spain.
