Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god

*takes a deep breath*

WHew.. okay, I'm better now. I'm glad to see Jennifer Hale getting some love, Also I'm pretty sure I saw at least Jacob and Samara in that vid, two characters we haven't heard much about since ME2, looks good and keeps on reminding me....

24 days, 20 minutes....

But yeah, from all the bits and pieces of information I've gathered, it does seem like every person who survived ME 2 is going to be on your crew in ME 3...
Uh... no, that's completely wrong.

The survivors will all be in the game, but they won't be in your squad.

Bioware have "officially" said that ME3 has a smaller squad than ME2, although they haven't out a number on it yet.

So in the Mass Effect movie will they release 2 movies, with male/femshep, or will they just change the character's sex every other scene?
If they can do FemShep justice, I'd like to see that. There aren't enough good female action heroes.
If they don't think they can sell FemShep without focussing on her boobs as her main character feature then they should just go for Male Shepard.
Fingers crossed no-one pitches it as a buddy movie.

Pretty decent trailer.

You know what's better then a trailer? A picture of the Final Boss and Tali's face.

Don't go and get to mad. Oink.

Ugh all the comments about Jennifers Hale's voice...just because a woman is a badass doesn't mean she's a *****...It's like the minute a woman shows a little back bone everyone says it could never happen.

You again. Posting unmarked and untagged spoilers for a game that hasn't been released yet with the express purpose of ruining other people's fun.

That right there is the kind of despicable behaviour that is all too commonly displayed by the pathetic little denizens of the internet.

Kindly cut it out.

To anyone else reading this: if you wish to avoid this guy's antics you can click on his name to display a little drop-down menu and select 'ignore'. It will cause his posts to become hidden unless you click on them, similar to post that has copped a warning.

Yeah, pretty much. She might be overacting a bit (never mind that all of those lines are out of context for the sake of the trailer), but male characters sound like titheads trying to be badass all the time and nobody bats an eyelid. Then the tiny minority of female action heroes get pelted with this "ohnoes a WOMAN" crap.

And anyone saying Jennifer Hale always sounds the same is pretty obviously just going off KOTOR/Bulletstorm/ME.

Samara, Miranda, Grunt (or at least a krogan, not sure if it was Grunt)...they better not all be eradicated at the beginning. Mordin is awesome and I was romancing Thane.
Miranda was in there @1:03.

That said, I really like the trailer. It looks like the council will once again be attempting to hold back the commander. I'm glad I killed them off in the first game (however, I don't think this'll change a whole lot about the plot).

Re: Jennifer Hale whining: seriously, people. This is Mass Effect. Go over-the-top or go home. I'm not looking for a subtle and understated performance, I'm looking for a voice actor to sell me on the idea that he/she's the sort of person who would teleport into a krogan's personal space with a shotgun.

Also,

:p Well see, to me that's a new bit of information. I hadn't heard that the ME 3 crew will be smaller, though I'm glad it will be. Playing through ME 1 again has remminded me how much smoothly things were with just 6 people...ME 2's crew seemed to have a lot of redundancies despite having a lot of great characters.

Personally that's exactly why the majority of my characters are FemShep. Not Hale's voice (though I honestly have no problem with it), but because I like seeing a strong woman not taking crap from anyone. I think it adds a fun spice to the story to think that not only did Saren get tracked down and beaten at every turn by a human, but by a woman, and not another random male jar-head space marine.

I'm really happy Femshep finally got her own trailer. (It's always weird when I play Mass Effect and then see a trailer addressing Commander Shepard as "he" or "him.")

Glad to see Legion (I assume) is back!

I know I'm in the minority here but god damn I hate Jennifer Hale's voice.
Still, seems like it's gonna be good. Looking forward to it.
I'll back you up on that one, bud. You can always recognize her in every instance she voice acts, ever. She's Steven Blum or Nolan North, but with a uterus.
You think that Steven Blum sounds the same in everything he's in? Allow me to submit a counter-argument:

Here he is voicing Oghren in Dragon Age: Origins:

And here is him doing the voice of Leeron from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:

Agh, I really want to watch it but I'm trying to leave the game as unseen as possible till I play it. That said I'll still have to play the demo on Tuesday, just to check what settings my laptop can actually run it on. Sound off, cutscenes skipped I guess hehe.

So...much...makeup...

Don't get me wrong. It's great that FemShep is getting some time in the sun. But the only way I or many fans will be satisfied is if our FemShep stars in a trailer... and that, I'm sad to say, is just not her.

Of course I recognize his voice in between the differences. Why? Because he never fucking stops voicing shit. His calm voice, his gruff voice, his laid back voice, his shitty English/Australian/Spanish accent.

I'VE HEARD THEM ALL.

Wow, if you can hear similarities between those two voices, then you have some pretty impressive hearing. Personally, I like his work, but to each his own.

In a sense, this works for me better than the ManShep trailers do. I play a ManShep with a totally different face than the default so seeing the default ManShep in trailers with "my" Shep's voice always seemed rather distracting to me.

It's not about my hearing, it's about him having gone to the breadth of his voice, going back around and then just circling the four pitches and tones he is capable of for the last 14 years when he voiced Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop.

He has 444 credits on IMDB. I don't think any other VA has more credits over so little a span of time. It's simple oversaturation. The fact that you linked things from only the last two or so years tells me you're not familiar with his older body of work.

I'll admit that it was only a year and a half ago that I got into anime, but I've seen Cowboy Bebop (of course), Ruroni Kenshin up to the end of the Shishio arc, FLCL, Last Exile, Samurai Champloo, Gurren Lagann, Advent Children, and Megas XLR. The main reason that I chose these videos was that I found his Leeron and Oghren voices to have the greatest disparity.
