I thought Allers was pretty boring, I wasnt expecting much in the first place but I dont blindly hate her simply because of her Voice Actress or how she looked.
I see the resemblance to Snooki, I dont give a shit.
She's voiced by Jessica Chobot, I still dont give a shit.
Shes just a rather bland character, her appearance and VA have nothing to do with it.
I agree...

I still want to see her blown at the airlock though...seriously your there in the observation deck and she just floats past

Shepard: "what the-"
Garrus "oh...shit.."
Shepard: "was that?.."
Garrus: "I heard Javik saying he was "going to throw it out the airlock for having little purpose"...I didnt think he'd actually DO it.."
Shepard "he should have at least got my permission first"
Garrus:"are you going to talk with him?"
Shepard: "hmmm...no, not right now"

EDIT: I also kind of resent her for being a famshep gay option while ashly isnt

but she's so sweet! In all seriousness, my Shepard only has eyes for Liara, and matbe for Kelly, but that was just a phase, lol.

I think that they should have not messed Tali's face if they weren't going to do it properly.
And i concur about Liara.
It's the best romance option in the whole series. And she's cute as a button.

I think she was just added as a gimmick 'romance the hot girl from IGN' and it really did stink of conflict of interest.
For what it's worth while I agree that her voice acting is subpar and the whole thing was seems a pointless addition, I'm trying not to be mean to the woman herself because I've heard reports of people harrassing her on twitter and I think that's just low.

That said, yeah there was no way I was ever going to romance her. I'm sorry but my Shepard waited two bloody years to have Ashley back and there was nothing in the universe that would deter him, least of all dodgy voice acting and a creepy character model.

Ashley always felt more like a great friend, never a romance option, and I didn't like that they turned her into a glamazon on ME3.
Just going to quote myself from a previous thing, I essentially agree with you about the redesign but still feel like giving my two cents:

I dunno, I still don't think it's that bad. That's not to say that I wasn't pissed off but compared to other female characters in Mass Effect, Ashley got off pretty light. It is still true though that an artist taking the established design of an established character for the express purpose of making them 'sexy' really does highlight a rather questionable attitude regarding the gender politics of that artist.

That said apart from that, it's not as bad as I initially thought it would be. I was afraid Ashley would get the Miranda treatment with constant shots of the camera hovering lovingly over her anatomy in the middle of conversations, fortunatley that's not the case. And she still gets armor in battle so there's that as well.
Plus her character still remains somewhat intact, though granted she has very few lines if Shepard isn't romancing her but her sassy tough girl attitude is there, a little harder to find then before but she's still in there, somewhere.

I mean I agree there are issues, like the aforementioned lack of dialogue on the Normandy and the questionable decisions with her redesign but I still have a fondness for the character so I'm ready to accept that. It bothers me but I wouldn't call her a glamazon, she's a different but she's still there, somewhere.
She still is one of my favorite female characters in modern day gaming (totally getting that figurine of her when it comes out) and a lack of dialogue and redesign aren't going to change that, though I can certainly see why one would be pissed off about that.

Maybe the thing that bothers me is that she had a good army girl look going, she look pretty, but her hair was fixed in a way that it wouldn't get in the way in a combat situation, unlike in me3 with her bangs on her face.

True, but to be fair they did kind of fix that. If you look closely you'll see that her hair is at least not in her face even though it is still rather impractical, granted, but that's something.
Also at least she got armor, that's good too.

In any case, I sent her with Hackett. No room for doubters in my boat. Ship. Space-travel thingie.

I wouldn't call her a doubter. Remember she did turn her gun on Udina, the politician she was sworn to protect, endangering her rank and risking political shit storm in the process on Shepard's say so alone.
I like to think that counts for something.

But look, whatever each to their own. Would rather not argue this if possible.
