i'm wondering what kind of mechanical keyboard would be the best to buy. i was thinking of getting the Corsair Vengeance k-95 since it come's with a wrist protector, red switches(heard those where the best kind for gaming), programmable macro keys, and back light keys(cause why not) a long with other cool things. plus i heard it was good for RTS gaming which is good for me since i spend most of my gaming time playing RTS (Total War more specifically).

the only down side I've heard of is that it doesn't sit flat on desk (ie it wobbles). But i'm not sure if it's case by case of just over all.

Well I've got the K70 and it's great...I've yet to see another keyboard that makes me even slightly envious. No wobbles either.

Well it's identical only with added macro keys so only if you care about macro keys...personally I don't use them since I don't see any real advantage over simply adding macros to existing keys.

My keyboard and superb in every way, not seen any sign of this wobble you have heard of.

Just because cherry MX Reds are "best for gaming" doesn't mean that's exactly what you want.
All of them are different, I highly recommend you actually read up on the specific differences and see which one sounds the best to you. Do you want a clicky or a silent one? One where you can feel the click of the button actuating or a linear one? Do you want the button to be hard to press, or easy? Combine all these options and you'll find your ideal switch.
For example, I want to be able to feel the button actuate, so that rules out the reds. Cherry Blues are very loud and require a bit more force to actuate, which I don't like, which pretty much leaves the browns. I'm a gamer, but the browns are a pretty good midway between gaming and typing.

TL:DR, watch this.

Best keyswitch type depends on a few factors. CherryMX keyswitches [http://www.keyboardco.com/blog/index.php/2012/12/an-introduction-to-cherry-mx-mechanical-switches/]

beefiness of your forearms
primary use
secondary use
noise sensitivity

One option is Ducky Shine 3. These have options for keyswitches (red, black, brown or blue) and led colour of the backlighting (blue, green, magenta, orange, red or white).

(they can also a lot of funky stuff with the backlighting)
